I got that same tumbler from Mr. deburr . Game changer on parts. Customers really like the finish and feel of there parts when they receive. Great when parts get anodize or chromate to. Does great on White Delrin parts also. They only needs like 5 minutes. You have a nice set up. That Brother mill does move !
@Flux Workholding Are parts are 99% deburred prior to going in. We only tumble parts 10-15 minutes , just to make all surfaces the same look on finish. When you save up a couple $$ or need a write off get yourself Rotary Screw Compressor . Your wife will thank you., after listening to that piston type. I know mine did.
I've worked on the thumb safeties for Walther PPK so I'm gonna be in the movie as well!
Cool tour. I'm sure it was a bit nerve wracking doing it with the supervisors demanding so much screen time. The shop is fairly minimal now but it's good to see that quality results can come from a fairly minimal setup.
I like the concept of the vises, I have a TECO dual station that never really gets used much because the price for the softjaws is enough to get 15 sets for my Kurt, and it takes up quite a bit of room on the table. Plus they're just hard to find at times. At least the Flux softjaws are more reasonably priced and for the types of parts I do, more appropriately sized. Hopefully the brand grows so that availability stays good.
I love your choice of mill. If you would like to shave a few more seconds off your cycle times use G100 tool changes.
Hey guys - great shop. I love that Brother CNC. I noticed in the shop tour there wasn't anything shown for the final surface finishing. Do you guys do in-house anodizing as well?
I really love the size of this vice. I've been looking at several other options/brands of work-holding and honestly I think this will be the best option for me. I cant wait to get a vice or two.

what Allen key torque wrench did you use to torque all the vise grub screw with?

Awesome tour! Those speedios are great little machines, not sure I’d trust them for big u-drill work but for small alli parts they are ideal!
Here’s a tip that may help, use a small chip fan before the cycle finishes to clear away all the swarf and coolant so that you don’t have to do it manually, it will add on some cycle time but it may bring down the overall time for part change over 🙂
They can handle 50mm udrill with no worry at all. 92NM meter is huge tork as heavy duty machines.
I didn’t see any surface grinders in your shop. Do you not grind your vises? I do like the design and for doing quantities of small parts should work great while using little space on your machine table.
Love it, very inspiring! Would mind some vices when I get my cnc up and running!
"Vices" are life style issues, Vises hold work pieces, good luck....

The man makes belt buckles, but does not tuck his shirt into his pants/shorts so that we can see one.
