Yep. the cutscene syncing issue is a problem so far. the first pre render cutscene is totally out of sync and runs at 30fps which seems to be the cause of the issue? kinda puts me off playing for now
I feel like graphics nowadays are at a very good level and what will make the difference is artistic vision and immersion, there's no point in having great graphics and then all comes down once it's in motion and the world feels dead and artificial.

I hate these games that stands only for aesthetics. Bosses and enemies that do not attack, when attack is WEAK and has no range. You literally teleported to his attack at 7:42 and didnt take damage. Thats a game for a japanese 5 years old girl.
I played it yesterday for the first time and it looks really beautiful and also weird for me because is my first time playing a Chinese audio game. I've seen Chinese dramas so I think I can get used to it. I do agree that the camera is indeed far away when playing especially when running away from someone or something.
Finished the game on pc and personally yes it is satisfying, especially when u learn how to effectively switch between characters for the skills/combo. But be warned some boss are very very hard and draining especially on the hardest setting (I recommends playing on easy, or maybe normal if u feel like it but not hard as I was almost stuck at a boss haha)

Kind of disappointed in the fact that you hit an enemy and they don't even so much as flinch at the hit and they just stand/float there and don't seem to do much. Every once in a while, they may take a swing at you but just severely lacking in any action whatsoever
Just ordered this for PS5 on Play-Asia last night since I had some other games I wanted on there as well. Sure I could get it digitally on US PSN here in the US but $40 there digitally and $30 for a physical English copy on Play-Asia. That and two other games I wanted gave me free shipping as it was over $99.99. Saved $2 as well as I had 610 Gold coins from another Play-Asia order which is equal to $6.10 which I say is $2 off each of the three games. Worst case I can resale this game and probably get $40 back which is why I prefer physical as I can sell even if I am losing a small amount of money. I know there is a US release physically coming out next year and I have that collector's edition pre-ordered on Amazon. That is how I learned of this game but still if I don't like the game I can cancel and no money lost there.
This makes me want to play Dynasty Warriors again. I know not a Wuxia game but close enough. I guess Jade Empire is as close to a wuxia game that I actually liked.

damn this game coming to consoles now I actually really like this game from when I played it on pc, Chinese final fantasy really charming characters instead of the sexualness of Japanese products this feels more like a olden disney product I actually super liked it the deeper you get in it the better it is. The beginning kinda feels alittle empty but the story kinda got me when the 2 main characters finally met eachother and then I got to the actual start of the freeroam and the game hooked me.

Can see some positive reviews from non-chinese players, while this game got shit a lot by chinese community, in very harsh way, by comparing this to other JP/NA AAA title games, when this game only has 10m USD budget with 24-man developers studio. (many old staffs left, most are new guys take over)
The in-game dialogues I feel are 80/20 than the actual gameplay. I'd prefer more action combat than characters conversing endlessly... great game otherwise
I absolutely love it. Pros would be great visuals, pretty solid 60fps frame rate (only had dips in a couple areas), music is phenomenal, and fun battle play. Cons would be it is pretty heavy handed on the story and Chinese mythology, so it can get confusing even with subtitles and sometimes a chore to read everything.

There's something about most Chinese games that even though they have good graphics it still feels lackluster. Maybe it's the unnatural small body movements, the over ambitious world building that feels empty, it just really feels like most Chinese mythology games try to use graphics like this thus they all look the same, or maybe I'm just used to seeing cheap Chinese games that I gradually stray away from most games like this.
Sorry a game based on this setting should be Chinese. Just like those Dynasty warriors games, that is weird when they speak Japanese in China @.@. I love the fact the game is more authentic to the setting it is in

Pretty stable 60fps and 1080p with ~ medium settings and horrible pop-in is what you get here. (PS5) The game is pretty demanding on PC, btw.

Unfortunately not. It's still locked at 1080p on PS5. The framerate is pretty stable but the pop-in is horrible.
