I love the George benson record
Awesome vid man. Gonna be picking one of these up real soon
Love that George Benson track. Great video !
nice camera
Great Honest review Dude 👍
great video. what do you think about the AUDIENT iD4 MK2 for playing clubs and larger events, I'm on a budget and want good sound at a low price yo. 😅
Hey! Nice review, just a question, did you test the mic section?, i got this same mixer but it isn’t working with a xlr mic and a xlr to 3.5 converter , regards
Yes, you have to use a "dynamic microphone" . Your microphone is probably a "condenser microphone" which needs phantom power. Before running your mic into the mixer, use a preamp with phantom power and then run the output from the preamp to the M2.
That's dope! That reverse button had me confused at first but I guess it's according to the DJ. Which one he prefers!
Nice review man, clear and honest. I'm looking to get into scratching as a beginner, and I'm finding it hard to find any information on a good beginner scratch needle, have you got any recommendations in an affordable price range for beginning?
Sorry for the late reply DTM. I'm sure you have already checked out a few nice, affordable scratch mixers, but if you would like a recommendation The Numark Scratch is pretty good.
Basically having a beat making setup and I’m using analog gear would like to eq the sound before it gets to my sampler is this a good recommendation , set up is a MacBook with a Sp404sx and sp303
The EQ sounds nice but if you are trying to go more in-depth with the sound for sampling I would recommend an EQ that will allow you to use a low-cut and high-cut filter. The EQ on the M2 is perfect for making minor tweaks to songs for listening but if you are sampling for making beats you would get better results with a cheap Channel strip or graphic EQ.
Smaller than the M6, might get one.
Great session! I've got a question. If i have two turntables with ground Wires, can i connect both ground on the same and only screw that Is present on board on M2?
Yes. In the past I had the same setup but all analog and I used the same ground for both turntables. You should be fine. Thanks for watching!
@@VCITYBEATS Thanks so much for your answer :)
At around 12th minute you were talking into mic connected to mixer? It's really that bad? Or you think the gain of the music should have been lower in order to hear the mic?
I'm running another test soon. I'll try again and show the results in a later video
can you connect the numark m2 to your pc?
SO do you need a speaker to be hooked up to the Numark M2?
Speakers or Headphones.
@@VCITYBEATS Ah okay!
Can I use this with serato?
Serato is usually used with its own proprietary digital mixers to utilize the program to the fullest, but if you were using this for just signal amplification I don't see why not. If you are using Serato I would just stick to one of their digital mixers. They are really good now.
The cut of the crossfader is sharp or lag when you scratching
I haven't had that issue. I'm working on a scratch video to release soon.
@@VCITYBEATS Thank a lot, I'll be waiting, saludos..
do i need one of these to scratch over my beats into fl studio?
If you are using FL Studio you should grab a digital Serato controller. That way you can scratch and manipulate any wave or MP3 file uploaded into the program. Having the M2 mixer will allow you to scratch with real vinyl records it does not act as a controller.
what does that small fader do?
It is the Cue. The small fader and knob is for Cue control
@@VCITYBEATS can u use it for scratching?
Could you use this to loop and scratch?
Yes
You didn’t show us how to hook it up
What amplifier you use or speaker you use
I currently use a 3-way K-Rokit active monitoring system with a Focusrite Scarlett 2nd Gen A/D converter
