      Why would you switch camera angles to the exhaust on a top speed run? We want to see the speedo climb. Zack short shifting to is saddening on a bike that revs to 16k.

    • @siraff4461
      @siraff4461 Год назад +3

      @@braaaaaaaaaaap Thats because the power was rolling over. You can hear it get less interested up top so there was probably more acceleration to be had by shifting early.
      Blame it being restricted because thats the only reason.

    • @siraff4461
      @siraff4461 Год назад

      Can you get it a flash and get it back to try again please? I feel like when people are buying this most are going to be doing a flash as a first thing and probably an exhaust aswell - though how much difference that makes is probably minimal.
      It would be good to see what it can do in the spec most people will use it.

      They need to be careful since they are part of an organization that sells motorcycle parts. EPA published a guide for fines to be given to any company that impairs or removes emission control devices on certified vehicles or sells equipment to do so. In 2016, Harley Davidson got fined $12 million, so it is no idle threat. In 2020, EPA dropped the individual fine to $1,000 (from $4,819), and some think that this means they are likely to start going after more individuals.

      @TM-ot3vl I read one of the enforcement documents and it stated something along the lines that there is no problem if the emissions still meet the standard. This is why some aftermarket exhaust systems that include catalytic converters are approved, even though they are louder.
      It is possible that a new map that eliminates the flat spot but still meets air emissions standards would be acceptable, even if it is louder.
      I would not like to be the test case, though.

    • @MJT-DA
      @MJT-DA Год назад +1

      @@jfess1911 the new PC6 only allows 15+/- adjustment vs 250+/- like it did before. The only way to make an exhaust louder like ford did was to make a valved exhaust system where it by passes the muffler. Other than that you’re SOL. Tuning motorcycles used to be easy now i have to send my ecu in to some place in the states to do it which is annoying. If they care about emissions so much why not just switch to hydrogen gas which has a 80% reduction in emissions while keeping gasoline vehicles…

      Everything counts in top speed and believe it or not rider skill. The surface, wind speed and direction, density of altitude, gearing, shift points, throttle body closure, bike and rider aerodynamics, etc etc.
      I think this was the best top speed for this no matter the distance and rider weight. Fix the throttle body closing in sixth gear then it could pull some more gearing then the riders weight might make some difference given the short running distance.
      We once did an experiment at the Bonneville Salt Flats with three different size riders on two different bikes running the same distance (3 miles) with no changes to the motorcycles.
      Rider 1 weight 155 pounds, Rider 2 weight 180 pounds and Rider 3 320 pounds. Rider 1 was faster than Rider 2 and 2 was faster than Rider 3. On bike 1 rider 1 was 20 mph faster than rider 3, and on bike 2 rider 1 was 25 mph faster than rider 3.
      The aerodynamics of a 155 pound rider compared to a 320 pound rider was huge as you might expect. However, in the run the bike was clearly maxed out.

      @@valensinclair6750agree to disagree. Yes the rider weighing less would reach the top speed quicker due to less weight but a rider weighing almost 50 lbs less would absolutely carry more mph.

    About the same engine performance as the twins but more complicated and a different noise
    Interesting development as the faster supersports fall out of favor in place of big twins and triples to bring out a baby 4 that plays in the same category more or less
    Do I want to replace my FZ07 track bike with one of these? Hell yeah I do, proper sport bike chassis/suspension is so good
    Am I gonna? No, because the FZ is cheap as dirt to run so I get more track days for less maintenance/consumables
    I will get really excited if I see one at the track though

    Head over to Moore Mafia channel and take a look at how neutered Kawasaki has this ZX from factory. Near redline, the throttle plate closes (via ECU) to a mere 56% throttle, and there ain't nothing the rider can do about it!!!
    Slip-on exhaust, ECU flash, and Moore's tuning, yielded 71 horsepower peak up from stock 57 hp. Yes. You read that right.
