AND the enthusiasm you, Kevin, and the volunteers of Cleveleys have for cleaning the beach, flowers in the town pots, Christmas decorations, everything, I love the team work. To be honest - I watch the videos for your cheery nature ! - I hate the negativity that some people seem to enjoy portraying of Blackpool and the surrounds.
May I suggest a series along the line of "5 things to do in Blackpool on a Sunday/when its raining/when it's busy" and also for Cleveleys and Lytham and St Anne's.
And pace the reveal - get the viewers to want to see that last two items by making them the interesting ones (maybe drop a hint).
You do so much for the Fylde coast Jane - the information you have gathered is of interest - you just need to hook

Please don't put click bait titles like some youtubers do. I personally find that quite off-putting. I don't always comment on your vlogs, but I do "like" them and try to watch themthe day they are published. We love Blackpool and love when you do the "today in" and the "whats new." As you know, I have been signed up for the newsletter for as long as I can remember. I hope your watch figures pick-up, keep being you. People's lifestyles change and maybe they just don't have the time to watch the vlogs like they used to. I hope teaboy & teaboy in training are well. Thank you again for all your hard work. I think you may be referring to ‘clickbait’. Please don’t go down that road, most people despise it but strangely it does get people to click but once they realise it’s false, switch off. Jane, stay as you are, stop worrying and your genuine followers will stay and support you. You’re doing fine.

Please Please Jane, don't change anything . The information you give to people is just right. Very informative. Like you say, you get straight to the point. The length of your vlogs is spot on, always positive, and that's what Blackpool needs, especially with the new development that's going on along the Fylde Coast.
I think the problem at the moment is because the weather all over the country is rubbish most people are looking at going abroad to see if they can find some sun.
Like others have said, keep doing what you are doing and if people can try and remember to like the video because that's my biggest downfall. We will watch it on tv and then forget to hit the like button. We watch your videos all year round. I'm surprised place's like Blackpool zoo and the smaller caravan parks don't invite you . X
I get what you're saying, but to be perfectly honest with you, I started following you because of your cheery, positive and enthusiastic outlook. I'm not from Blackpool but have many friends here and I come over most Saturday afternoons to catch up with them, and also visit the Fylde Riviera regularly for days/evenings out. I love the range of vlogs that you do, from the Friday Food ones, through the 'let's see what we can see' ones, to the progress of the Groynes ones. Always very informative and honest. There are enough vloggers ready to do the area down, so you are a breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work.
Don't follow everyone else, they are going in the wrong direction. you just do you. There are more bad people than good, the like minded always gravitate toward the like minded. What you deliver is honest and informative, just stay as you are.
Couldn't agree more. I'll never fully understand why people have the urge to be popular. Because once they have that popularity it's going to be difficult to shake off when they get overwhelmed by it. Jane is literally the only person I watch who does Blackpool content and I enjoy watching.

Well i 'discovered' you when i was looking what shops were in Clevelys. So i walked down the street on here before i went in the flesh. I enjoy your blogs, i love your humour, you are down to earth and very honest. Our days out compise of hubby bird watching and me shopping then meeting up to eat.

It’s a conundrum because I love the vibe of your videos. A few people I follow do those eye catching thumbnails and titles - usually with a cheesy picture of the presenter looking quizzical. In the manner of Christmas cracker jokes, sometimes the groan at the corniness is part of the experience. I doesn’t feel like your vibe but I wonder what others think

I really enjoy this channel, there's nothing wrong with the content or the presentation so you don't need to change anything Jane. Just keep doing what you are doing. Maybe your weekly VfC Newsletter gives people all the information that they need and may feel they don't need to watch the videos and vlogs as they already know about the events. If you are thinking of shaking up the content on your helpful and informative videos in the future, please keep doing the Hotel Accommodation reviews and the Friday Food Reviews. These must stay to keep your target audience, the tourists and holiday makers. The number of views will never match the number of subscribers so I wouldn't worry about that. People will only watch what topic interests them regardless of the Title and Thumbnail. Onwards and upwards. Thank you. 👍👏
I watched your video on the new car park and found it very informative, because of this, this video has come up as one for me to view. Like all the other comments say please don’t go down the “clickbait” route, it’s totally off putting and puts me personally off watching the video. Hi Jane; an interesting question.
First of all you cannot be getting much wrong to get and importantly *keep* the amount of subcribers this channel enjoys.
I see several reasons for the lasser views compared to subscribership. The first and immediate one that might be more to do with the time of year is that in the warmer months [I am not inclined to say Summer!] By this I mean that in these months we are less likely to be able to view [and comment on] all the channels we are subscribed to - there are events happening, lawns to be mown, preparations for looking after children and grandchildren in the holidays - and of course going on holiday.
There may be people more interested in the event-exposition or preview content than the places to stay at once their holiday lodgings are finalised. Kris and myself vary in what we both watch but health can play a part in changing what we do.
What I feel to be a root cause in all this rather than time of year variation is that VFC by its very nature will attract people with several interests and hobbies and people who have more thought about the wider aspect of coastal life. There are channels that have many thousands of views but many offer comparatively shallow content, also maybe they are used as background to other things going on. I find so much in this channel fascinating - for instance I have viewed the hanger museum several times to get as much information as I can from it - Kris and I want to go there. However I am commenting when I have got all I can out of it. In some cases maybe people put videos on hold [I do with philosophical debates that I enjoy] and the tabs build up resulting in a computer update pushing them off even when 'pinned'.
It would be interesting if you could have a sheet of paper headed up with the basic types of content you offer and if you could segregate these into [say] months of the year.
I subscribe to some scientific and debating channels and the amount of views can be completely disproportionate to the content but the views metric often varies according to the academic year, some are brilliantly produced and I am astounded not to see more views. The internet can be a mysterious place!

One thing you'll notice a lot of successful youtubers doing in their videos is quite subtle but effective, which is asking questions to increase the interaction algorhtim.
Maybe ask viewers to comment suggestions of which food place to try next or other similar questions that will create a response and dialogue in a natural way to help achieve your goal of reaching more eyes.
We love your videos and wouldn't want you to change much about them, but it's all about playing the youtube 'game' a bit to increase the sub numbers 😊
Don't change your style, keep your integrity. Go with your gut. I'd rather view an honest review than clickbait nonsense that's not relevant. Maybe try buzz words like "surprise", "amazing", "must do" etc. don't put negative spin unless it's a negative thing!❤
I always enjoy your videos. The drop in views is probably down to the exponential growth in other Blackpool RUclipsrs coming on the scene. Blackpool and Beyond is my favourite but I avoid Spiceheads like the plague.
That's part of the problem, they're capitalising on the grot which I'm trying to avoid featuring. Everywhere has got grot but it doesn't mean we need to focus on it!
I love your videos and I wouldn’t like to see you being negative but maybe you could ask a question in your titles. So a hotel review might say. We visited X hotel and is it worth a visit ? so planting the idea there might be something negative but you need to watch for the answer. I see a lot of other you tube channels use this kind of format. Another option might be to offer something e.g. Visiting the Sandcastle waterparks - top tips or useful information as these are the terms I use if i’m researching somewhere I’m going. I also see what you did with the title of this video 😉
I think you do a wonderful job with all your videos, it was actually you that got me interested in holidaying in Blackpool and now I come down from West Lothian Scotland twice a year, I have found out a lot of where to go from your videos and picked up information leaflets after you went into info centre, I have bought from your family business beautiful pictures and also had a picture with you which was my highlight, my granddaughter bought a crochet flamingo at Halloween market and its name is cleveley, thank you Jane for what you do 😊x

It would be too bad if you had to resort to “click bait “. For example when I see a headline about the best player in my football team “reacting to departure “ it makes you think the worst and that he is leaving and you have to click on it - however it turns out to be a quote from him wishing another team mate good luck on his well publicised end of contract move away. Anyway keep up the great work and I hope you’ve arranged for warmer weather for my visit this weekend 😅

I love watching your videos as you know. I think as long as you enjoy doing what you do and what your putting out you can't go wrong!. I think far to many people think RUclips is easy when in reality it's not and there's a bit more to it than pressing record. You have to have confidence and have faith in what you are doing otherwise it just won't work. Not sure if you are aware but I do quite a few Blackpool videos and from Cleveleys as both are my top favourite places. I don't focus on the views I just enjoy what I do and always will do. Keep doing what you are doing and people will find you. I'll always watch what you put out. 🙂

I like the format that you use. How about offering more opinion polls and see if that information can be used when thinking about the next topic for a video. I would say NO to using double speak. Its not what people expect from you . Your honesty is for me one of my favorite things and I would say many others feel the same way. Thanks for all you do.
I've always found your channel to be honest, true to yourself and straight to the point (you're kind of an internet auntie for a good few of us I think it's fair to say :) . I don't think going for a click bait/misleading style title is the way to go. Quite a few channels do that or they'll have someone looking agasp in the thumbnail, and that's just obnoxious and off putting. I have to say that I've gone to places that you've recommended, whereas I've been skeptical of some other videos I've seen (e.g. whether they're relatives or taking a cut).

Probably put it as a type of investigated question which is answered inclusively in the video or conclusively if it’s a two part vlog. It seems the style for an on the fence look of things for most vloggers
