It totally is Rolex couldn't sell Daytonas for decades. Mainly because alot didn't like it was a manual wind movement with a screw down crown. The Submariner, Gmt and Datejust were the top seller's for Rolex. With that said I still think vintage Daytonas are awesome 👌

One moment: el primero is the first in Spanish. It's not Esperanto, though it could be. But a quick run to the translator says it ain't. Other than that, yeah the Zenith is super great. Its chrono at 10ths of a second, or even the one at 100th/s.... they're expensive but no other pieces are like them. Ah, and they have a date window, "for time's sake". I can't understand this fever for Speedmasters and Daytonas where you have just the time... I suppose it's related to tastes :D

Rare vs. iconic. Daytonas of that area were definitely more rare with lower production numbers and different dial designs. But that didn’t translate much as far as an icon till modern day. You couldn’t give them away in the early days. Today that makes them more valuable to collectors than most vintage Subs. Add in Paul Newman and bingo! The Sub has been pretty iconic since the beginning and setting the standard by which most divers today are patterned off of. Granted you can only be so creative with a dive watch. IMO

Funnily enough, MAMACOO's replicas are perfect for people who can actually afford a luxury watch. Because in those social circles, it wouldn't matter and everybody would just assume it's real. You have a yacht and a beach house in Tuscany, of course that replica is real. There isn't a millionaire out there going around with a jeweller's loupe to scrutinize their acquaintance's watch. They'll just go "Oh is that a Patek? Nice, I should really get my hands on one of those, they look great."
