Is it necessary to connect a diode or a voltage divider between Arduino Rx/Tx and SIM 800 Rx/Tx? Logical 5V output of the Arduino will damage 3.3V SIM 800 input ??
I fixed the power issue by adding some capacitors parallel to lithium ion battery and the module doesn't restart anymore but I can't connect to network the led blinks every second, any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.
my Question is whose number write in the code (String number = "+xxxxxxxxxxxxx";) that are insert SIM in module SIM 800L or other On which we receive message or call

hello po, ask ko lang po if may idea po kayo ano po kayang poblem nung akin, nag bblink po siya every 1 second and after few blink (around 7) mag bblink siya after 3 seconds, then back to 1 second interval po ulit, then sa fona test, okay po lahat pero before lumabas ung sms ready/call ready, lumalabas po muna ung CPIN:READY thanks po :)

Freddy Yonata yeah. that should work. but you should connect parallel to the supply line. just google zener connections. what I did was connect the diodes in series, theyre general purpose ones.

it might be hindi enough ung current supplied nung battery, adapter or PSU na ginagamit mo.

You need a microcontroller or a serial device to send AT (aka hayes commands) commands to the module via RX/TX

Why you are using diode
Its a quick fix. I had to drop the supply voltage to around 4V-4.2V from 4.8V from the arduino.

dennis quilao yes you can do this without the diode. If you can find a 3.6v - 4V, 1A+ regulator that would be better.
