Centaur Warrunner is the first hero to no longer need Boots as his Core Items according to 8K MMR pro players. The logic comes down to his new Facet where for every Strength he gains, he also gets a bit of movement speed increase. For a hero with one of the highest Strength gains in Dota 2, it's actually pretty insane to give him one more synergistic reason to build more Strength and survivability. Now with skipping boots, you can get your items earlier and more importantly, start tearing up fights in the mid-game much earlier. But that means you sacrifice your early-game opportunities like you had with the old Double Edge and Hoof Stomp.

i think that the arcane boots are a better match for pos 5 vengeful spirt due to a lack of mana being an issue with the character

@@TorteDeLini As a question, how are you actually updating the guides with the bugs in the guide-maker? I've been trying to update some of my personal guides and notice tons of issues like innates not having their skill point counted (messing up the glowing highlights), missing abilities (usually related to facets), tons of &s inserted into text, etc. I'm just wondering if there's something I'm missing or if there's a better way to do this.

@@TOMMYWINK You don't have to follow guides perfectly. If you are struggling with mana because there are many mana burn heroes on the enemy team then just go for them.
idk feels worse imo to not get phase boots. i get that pros are doing this but i feel like most people still need to get phase boots because this hero is often useless until blink if u dont
Useless until min 25 when the bracers stats double. I tried this yesterday and my God I had to farm a lot and use ult for team. I couldn't engage until 25min mark.
If you're going for a funsies build, SnY in a later stage of the game is great, you get a much needed strength while also moving really fast, with some strength stack from shard you're almost moving at perma-haste speed after initiating a fight.
Also regen amp for HoT which you definitely will buy on Horseguy anyway.
I think the funsie build right for Centaur is like Triple Bracer, Blink and then Shard
Insightful & creative, when you think about it single bracer does much more compared to boots 🥾
The real basis is that you save 1,000+ gold skipping boots which means very early Blade Mail
What about spending 500 gold on brown boots only. If you secure 1-2 kills with it, you can sell it for 250 and you barely lost or even gained gold.
What about wind lace for 250 gold? Do you think it's viable early game? It should stack with the facet speed boost, right?
Wind Lace is viable and sometimes gotten.
