I’m actually pleasantly surprised! I didn’t think there would be much here for me, as I wasn’t too interested in any of the new tooled projects, most of the latest Bachmann announcements have mainly been era 6/7, I’m perfectly happy with my old Bachmann Class 25, don’t really need more Mk1 coaches, and don’t intend on starting a new scale.. The pal vans look really cool though! I’m also really glad to see the Jinty and 03 return, and will think about picking those up, especially the 03! Given the way prices have been going recently as well, most of the prices seem spot on, as £170 for a modern Class 25 isn’t too bad, £115 for a Jinty is great, and having heard about the 03, it does sound like at £127 you are getting what you pay for!! Really nice to get a break from the usual Class 37s, 47s, 20s, 45s, etc!!!
Hoping for an LSWR T3, LBSCR Class K, LBSCR Remembrance Tank, GNSR F Class (aka LNER D40, aka SECR G Class), NER A2, NER Class A, GNR N2, and a Welsh-Highland Garret!!!
Wow, Bachmann you have made my day with those 12t P&T cranes, superb addition to the range and it’s so long overdue I applaud you, if you could add a Balfour Beatty version as well it would be appreciated. Can you please release a newly tooled class 37 in Network Rail yellow livery and a Europhoenix silver livery model as well, a Network Rail yellow barrier coach would be superb, great announcements today although a class 08 with directional lighting and sound would have been a massive improvement along with some RTC livery coaches, if you were a political party you’d get my vote.
Got the Empress sound fitted starter set and some various waggons on order with Rails, just need to get track and a controller then I'll be all set once these lovely items come out in the next few months.
I really love the models of Una and Margaret! Although I was a little surprised to see Britomart hasn't got its little steam siren depicted and Alice is still in the bright shade of red, when she's been repainted to the more accurate maroon? I'm guessing with Alice it was to keep consistency between the NG7 and 009 models, it would still have been nice to see say George B depicted in the maroon and maybe with alternative nameplates to run as "Wellington"
Hey EFE Rail, could we have a more Isle of Wight Versions of the Adams O2? w26 Whitwell is really nice in SR Olive, but at least 2 more examples in 2 different liveries would be really appreciated by Iow modellers. :)
During the month, we announced the pal vans. You may have seen that we announced the pal vans. In front of us here, we have the pal vans. And now, let’s look at the pal vans. Something tells me Bachmann may be making pal vans
The LSWR O2 looks fairly promising. I’ve got some Hornby LSWR coaches but haven’t found a suitable loco to pull them, so if the O2 is cheap I might pick it up.
They admit that the launch of the Class 25s is embarrassing late 😂 I could have sworn these were mentioned years ago and they are only now being released 😂 oh well at least they have been late. I can’t wait to get them.
When will one of the main manufacturers produce models to fill gaps in the rtr OO gauge First Generation DMU range? Noticeably absent are Class 114 "Lincoln" sets, Class 123 and Class 124 sets.
Love the NG7 Quarry Hunslets. The cranes are fun too, definitely going to get a couple of them. Been wanting to get a Class 25 with Headcode Boxes, Communication Doors and a Boiler/Water Tank, and now I've got a choice of two, one in Green and one in Blue.
Shame the 0-4-0T Hunslets have vanished without trace. Not sure about the 09 collection. It would have been nice to have seen a more generic 009 loco rather than the endless Welsh engines that are of no interest to me.
I recently bought a bachmann loco that seemed to randomly stop dead, i took off the body to have a look and i noticed the rotor inside the electric motor had a "Z" written in blue marker on it and there was the remnants of a sticky label stuck to it which seems to have been what and made it cut out, does this mean something to the bachmann factory? i cleaned it off with ipa and it works much better but not good for a brand new loco.
Thanks for the info,, or in my case i had the same issue with a Bachmann 66 which I perchesed around 2012 .. I removed the body then removed those tiny plastic clips that secur the wires to the pcb board and found a wire that was hardly connected so I used solder and it runs without suddenly stopping.. I don't know if bachman still employ this method but its worth checking out...
Apart from the 12T Plasser Crane which I'm pretty sure was originally a Hattons tooling project that got shelved nothing else really grabs my attention. Why is there no Balfour Beatty blue livery? You've done two BR departmental yellow liveries but only one private livery... I can definitely see the bias here... Also nice to see more Mk1 variants, but yet again still the brake shoes still do not align with the wheels properly... Also when can we see new OO liveries for the Class 350/450 Desiros, I'd be dying to get one in both TPE & LNWR... would fill a huge gap in the current day WCML with Avanti 390s and 805s.
Still waiting for a blue 2HAP and blue class 117 and a 4EPB and with Steam outline a SR C2X SR Q CLASS and different length birdcage coaches 50ft and 54ft
The mk1s are a great addition but can't you manufacture a Kitchen only type mk1, there are a lot of RBs, RBRs also RMBs but very few kitchen vehicles?? Cheers
Perhaps it is my memory at fault but I remember that the early BR 'carmine and cream' featured a startingly bright carmine. All the so-called 'carmine' in models or on heritage railways now appear to be simply a mid red. Maybe the BS paint cannot find the original specification.
That will hopefully come for you. I have been waiting for RML 900 since it was announced at model rail Scotland 4 years ago now. I did pay for it at one of the exhibitors at show as did a number of my friends.
Hi @AtreiusLux, this model will be issued as part of the membership pack to all members who join or renew between 1st July 2024 and 30th June 2025. Many thanks
Regrettably Bachmann again are producing very little of interest for my display collection. I was hoping to find something in Classes 20, 37, 47, 57 and 66, but no joy. In the case of 37s and 66s Accurascale will be getting my orders. I have the green wagon on order and that is it.
Strange, releasing all the class 25s sub classes but even though Bachmann do a 24/1 with headcode boxes as well as these new new class 25s ,still no class 25/0s, it's been a glaring omission for a long time, its missing an open goal by Bachmann not to do them too
What's going on? You've already done a Mk1 FO and why the RB and BSO that Hornby have done. When are you going to produce a Mk1 BFK? and instead of copying Hornby's buffet cars why not do a Griddle car and full kitchen car?
Tallylyn is in the Bachmann USA range, not UK. I believe they are getting ready to ship, but don't quote me on that. I canceled my order after I saw the painted samples, as I assumed for the price they would have upgraded the tooling to make it look less like Skarloey and more like Tallylyn, so I haven't really been following the project. I don't mind if models aren't 100% accurate as long as they are affordable, but 130 quid is a lot of money for a loco that isn't very detailed...
I front the range was not to bad much better then the 3 announcements. Plase bachmann if who going to been at swanage railway in september plase look at an ouncements the T3 in LSWR greeen 563 it now at Swanage in OO scale thanks bachmann. Only two things like in the range was the white 03 been want thst four long time in oo scale plus crane in red.
Made the trip to the Birmingham show and spoke to your rep reference your EFE range. Having driven Buses and Coaches for over 40 years, living in the south, you might say I am biased for my area. Pleading that you consider liveries in our area other than London & Southdown vehicles. I noted the Leicester RM, maybe the Southampton City Bus RM could also be a retooled item. I mentioned the SOUTHAMPTON ATLANTEAN also used by Leeds and other northern local councils in the70's? Why is so difficult to get into the model to place drivers or passengers? Or why not at least place a driver in half the production run? Must admit my suggestions did not seem to be of much interest to the rep. Last time I and many others I know will attend the Birmingham NEC, £19 for parking, £3 for a cuppa leaves a nasty taste in your mouth or very thirsty!!
I prefer the legend in gold LONDON TRANSPORT. I will not purchase the silly white roundel. I stll remember seeing through a high window, AEC's paintshop, CRL4, the coach RM in LT Lincoln green for coach services. (late 1950s)
7mm narrow gauge is also known as O-16.5. 009 track can run all different gauges of narrow gauge from the Double Farlies at 1ft 11 to Talyllyn at 2ft 3 so why can't O-16.5 track

Finally the 02s are being rereleased 😀
Thank you for adding the Y.O.B engineers crane. Will certainly purchase some examples when you release them to the retailers.

@@iaingardener9268 I don’t know about 30 minutes, they already put a video on Hornby Magazine
Good wishes! Hoping for new tooled thing we have not seen before; like the Furness Railway K2s.

Impressive range of releases, plenty in there for me, in several different scales! Great job on the RTR NG7
Gotta love the Class 350's at 22:35 and Class 25's
1:37 the boy in the back 😂
Great video but i ask when are you going to take the plunge and do some TT120 stuff ?
I would have thought that TT120, is Hornby registered, type and trademark 😉
Got the Empress sound fitted starter set and some various waggons on order with Rails, just need to get track and a controller then I'll be all set once these lovely items come out in the next few months.
102T TEAS very welcome!! Liking the "later in the year" quote we really need some more loco's for the BR Blue era so keeping fingers crossed!
There's plenty of br blue locos but not enough multiple units
Some good stuff. Looking forwards to it
