Compared with such pretenders, you guys are outstanding. A long time ago now and though she has since sold the vehicle, she still reminds us and tells any who will listen how proud she was of us at the time... Haha bless. The work you guys are doing here reminds me a little of those Nasa engineering documentaries, detailing how they built and maintained their spacecraft. Your whole ethos, methods and attention to detail along with customer centered design. Here is the remit. How can we make it happen as opposed to, we can't do this or that and it's not what you asked for, but would this be ok? Nothing is impossible. Also the fact that your customers are willing to attend a mutual appreciation gathering every so oft is a testament to their satisfaction. One small thing though. The client mentioned sitting on the roof deck. Doing so with non fixed seating on that small area looks a bit dicey to me. Couldn't you have made a couple of folding single post seats that could be fixed to the deck? Just a thought. Still fabulous.
As an electrician I appreciate the beautiful wiring. If the wiring is a mess, it shows they don’t take pride in their work. Always check for neatness, it makes a difference.

Very nice, very well done. You guys appear to be a very high-quality oriented team and if we ever decide to build one, we'll be contacting you. Well done!
Beautiful, as is all your work I’ve seen. My concern would be all that moisture inside that van (steaming producing coffee maker and steam producing oven, not to mention people) with all that heavy insulation, no windows but the front ones to let fresh air in, stale air out, is a breeding ground for mold to grow quickly. I realize there is a fan, but you need a way for air to get in for the fan to pull air out. Nothing against ARV or the new owners, just my own thoughts. Also agree with others about lack of space inside. I could never live in that small a space and be happy. To each their own. Hope the new owners are thrilled and have many hours and miles of safe and happy travels.
Martha Manigross In my 170, there are many options for make up air, including multiple windows. One of my favorites is just to run the exhaust fan, and allow the negative pressure to draw air in through the existing hvac system, as this passes through the cabin air filter, removing pollen and dust. That's an excellent option on this build too. You did notice they have an exhaust fan, AC, roof hatch, in addition to the front windows, yes? No shortage of ventilation options there.
Its nice to see your attention to detail during the build process, not only the finished product - thank you very much - more of these videos please ;)
Electricity from the alternator stored in the battery packs. Love it! Nothing against solar but for a vehicle this is using existing modes inherently available.
Every RV since time immemorial stores electricity from the alternator in the batteries. The only difference here is the capacity of the batteries is way more than normal.
Add up the price of all those batteries and I believe solar is the better value. You’ll never see them on a high roof but the roof rack loses space. I just can not imagine how much this build cost. Very nice indeed but I’m more DIY.
Thanks Paul! You are always welcome to visit and tour our facility. The Last Resort is on the road now, but there are plenty of builds-in-progress for us to share.
that's really nice. I've always wondered why more people didn't think of the marine hatch idea. I thought maybe it couldn't be done for some reason, but here it is. Everything is well thought out, I hope they kept the design, because that's a good one.

Wow, love to see this in person!
Two questions, how much was the final product and where do you stay when it does eventually need serviced.
Yes I want to know how much was the final cost
If you have to ask "how much"... you can't afford it. Thats my rule of thumb...lol
My guess is $200k+
@@pickle-ball not true at all
@@nicks2111 ARV vans starts at around 350K...This is likely 400k+
