- DRONATIC FLIGHTS, returns to the BEAUTIES of CALABRIA, this time on beautiful MAIDA, in the province of Catanzaro, in Calabria (Italy).
Even Maida seen from above has a different effect and sometimes it is difficult to recognize the places lived, because seen from another perspective.

The village of Maida stands on a hill between the Jayari rivers to the west and Cottola to the east. The municipal territory also includes the minority of Albanian ethnic and linguistic minority (arbëreshë) of Vena di Maida (Vjna in the arbëreshë language).
The territory of Maida was inhabited since the remotest times. This is testified by the numerous caves in the area, certainly inhabited in very distant times and some finds discovered on the coast. In 1980, during an excavation campaign promoted by the University of Pisa, stone artefacts dating back to the Lower Paleolithic, in their original layer, were discovered in Casella. Most are single-piece choppers and splinter scrapers.
