We're seeing a loyal son who knows his father is guilty. You all assessed Murdaugh in the car with the police just after the crime- which was spot on.

He looks just like his father. The whole thing is tragic.

I completely agree. Buster knows his father is guilty. And yes, it’s all just so tragic.

I don’t understand how he can support his father when his gut tells him his father killed his mother and brother. Is it greed? Is it a pitiful attempt to save the family name? Buster is in a bad place in life. He is treading water. Is he trying to set up his own defense in the accusation of his part in the killing of the young man on the road? The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Pamela, I think it might be about money that's hidden somewhere. It's horrific and his father killed his mother and brother. Perhaps he's trying to hold on to his sanity.

I don’t think he believes what he’s saying about his father. He desperately wants his father to be innocent. I actually feel badly for this guy. He has a life of misery ahead of him…frankly that’s pretty sad. 8:53 I guess I should wait for Scott to chime in.

Buster was kicked out of first semester law school for plagiarizing another student's term paper. He learned to lie and cheat from his dad. And, daddy slipped 70k to the dean of the law school to get Buster back in good graces. After daddy's conviction, Buster wouldn't return to law school. The phone calls between them prove these statements to be true.

I thought it was reported he did finish his law school. Good to get the real straight facts. So what is he doing for his income & lifestyle?

Somewhere out there is that missing $8M. Buster may have been told that one day when this all blows over (as if) he will tell him where that money is if he remains loyal and does what he asks.

This kid lost a LOT! Family members.. all his immediate are gone just like that.. he tries to be what his dad needs but I don’t think Buster is a bad guy.. lived privilege, and maybe he still does but he has had his whole life turned upside down with all the pressure now on him too

I've always wondered if Buster is standing by his dad despite knowing he actually kiIIed his mother and brother because *somewhere out there is that **_missing $8M._* He may have been told that one day when this all blows over (as if) he will tell him where that money is. Just like Barry Morphew's despicable children... _follow the money._

Whoop. We’re already on the road to revisionist history. In ten or twenty years time he’ll have the family name restored. It’s all he’s got left
