I hate the censored subtitles. Si eun says FUCK DO YOU WANT?! as he breaks windows 😡 Si eun hardly ever uses profanity so him doing it here has dramatic weight, unlike the bullies who throw it around casually every 5 seconds.
But here the subtitles just says “what do you want” 🙄
This is like that Korean movie “Once upon a time in High School” set in some 70s school, at the end of the movie when the protagonist destroys 8 bullies in one fight and THEN the faculty steps in (because a one-sided bullying is not a fight, 2 people beating each other count as as a fight) and finally snaps and breaks the hallway windows he yells…
every time i see 17:47 i tear up like i could feel his pain…park jihoon did such a good job

I cant wait for season 2! Pretty much this is just a prequill to the actual show. His backstory. Now we are going to see some epic scenes. He even gets involved with gangs and AHHHH SO EXCITED.

Just mentioning it because you guys keep asking, you may know by now: The students are often shown in the classroom without a teacher because in South Korea they can spend break times in their classroom. Most of these fight scenes are not occurring during class time.
this first season is basically a prequel to the main story from the webtoon. i haven't read the webtoon but i've heard from those that have that they did change a couple of things to make the story more realistic. for example they humanized beomseok a lot in the drama, in the webtoon he was way worse and they changed sooho's character. in the webtoon he's not a fighter and not as charismatic as he is in the drama. a lot of people say they like the changes they did to their respective characters though so i guess that's good.
sooho is my favorite character as well and i would like to see more of him. what worries me is that in the main story sooho is still in a comma so if they do make a season 2 they would have to make some changes in order to include sooho. i don't know if they'll do it or not, they already changed some things up and he's definitely a fan favorite so it's possible but i'm also curious to see how the main story is either way. season 2 is not confirmed yet but given the popularity of the show, there's a high possibility of happening. also, huge props to all of the actors involved, incredible performance by all of them, especially the main three.

Park jihoon (sieun) is such a great actor ! He delivers all the emotions just by his eyes. That scene where he breaks the window, wow, got me choked up. I'm hoping for season 2, also, I used to love the trio, so sad it all turned out to be like that.
BumSeok had enough anger in himself, to actually kill someone, like his abusive dad... Why did he take it out on Sooho...when his actual problem was his own abusive father. He only said Sooho was a problem, not the actual problem.
His dad had a psychological hold on him. He was literally paralyzed in front of his father who was his main tormentor for many years. That's why he kept all this violence inside and directed it in the wrong way at the end. He was like a bomb.
Maybe it was envy
Like soo ho is everything he wants to be, he projects all of his insicurities on him and soo ho has this sort of attitude that bullies have but he uses it for good, I guess bumseok was scared of becoming his target.
And I believe bumseok is a lot like si eun, bc si eun clearly has anger inside of him but he doesn't look for trouble or revenge, he was also never jealous of soo ho, that but bumseok believes si eun will somehow agree with him and he gets pissed when he realizes si eun is better even tho their suffering in the same way, bc si eun wants a peaceful life, he values his friends, he is motivated by good while bum seok wants power, he values fame and he is motivated by revenge of those he envies even the innocent.

love how they made it so Si eun smashed the same foot that the fighter used to knock Soo ho down

I think that bumseok had a deep fixation on sooho, almost like a crush and the thought of sooho paying attention to someone else drove him crazy. He doesn’t get love/attention from family and the only way bumseok got attention was sooho. Unfortunately he didn’t know how to talk it through and went about it the only way he knew how, through violence.
not only that but the guy was also traumatized from the bullying at his old school. when that man called him weak and soohos subordinate it made him feel inferior. a lot of bullies in sk will put their arms around u like ur friends to make u feel inferior, which is why bumseok started getting sensitive about sooho putting his hands around his shoulders.

To my understanding, Soo Ho is brain dead. Beom Seok dad made his grandma sign a paper and he is paying the hospital bills to keep him on life support. But as soon as he decides he can stop paying and kill Soo Ho. That's why the assistant told Beom Seok that if he wanted SooHo to still be alive he should do as he is told.
It's just my understanding.
Well in the webtoon Sooho is still in a coma, so.... I dont know how they will do the next season :') I really want him back somehow bc the actors had so much chemistry !! but its all about Sieun getting new friends and fighiting with them
I mean he isn't necessarily in a coma its just that shieun does not know where he is since he was transferred to a different hospital so its more like unknown if he woke up or not to him and to us as readers

@@dudarrrrgh exactly he jumped off the building, we don't know if he's still in a coma, maybe died or is brain dead (idk whats it called, like his body alive but will never move or talk), there are a couple possibilities besides being in a coma, tho I wish he could wake up and be okay its a big chance he won't, in the webtoon the doctor says if he wakes up he will never be able to live a normal life ever again

As a webtoon reader this was actually an unexpected storyline when I saw the series since this is just a back story of Sieun (Gray/White Mamba in webtoon) and not the main story
The actual story revolves around Eunjang high where Sieun transferred to at the end
And for Suho , he'll definitely not come back at season 2 if they follow the original storyline but if they don't there's a chance of him coming back
Suho actually only showed up for 2 or 3 eps out of more than 200 in the webtoon
Suho's family moved somewhere else and Sieun is still looking for Suho
If they do make season 2 , I think they'll make more seasons cause I don't think they'll be able to cover the whole story in 1 season and the webtoon is still ongoing so.........
But I really hope they do make more seasons cause I really wanna see the other characters in the drama , mostly Donald cause I really wanna see who will portray his characters
The scene where Si Eun breaks the window and screams was so intense like I gasped when I watched it, he's such a good actor.
Sieun breaking the window is one of my favorite scenes but also, one that hurts the most. Seeing him cry at the beginning when he sees Suho for the first time also made me tear up.
I wanted him to fck Bumseok up tbh. Suho just breaks my heart.
He didn't say Suho died, so im hoping to see him next season.
I know seun is main character and strong, but after his in eunjang school you will see a lot of literaly strong and cool characters. and very special for seongje geum, he's one of my favorite antagonist characters.!! Cant wait to watch next season. :)
I just read the webtoon. I’m shocked coz he actually started growing stronger and calmer in combat during his days in eunjang after meeting all the great characters. He’s very much unstoppable if its 1v1 and in area with a lot of random tools he can use to compensate his weaknesses. Season 2 live action gonna be amazing !

I can’t believe it took me till the final to realize that they took the flash back from the manhwa and made it the first season. I’m embarrassed how confused I was
I read the Manwha first before watching this series. The Manwha started when he got transferred to Eunjang High School. You can read the Manwha. It's colored and it's great to read. You might want to check Mercenary Enrollment which is so amazing.
Ji hoon Park's acting is amazing wow
When this drama came out i jumped in it without really knowing what i was getting myself into except the bullying part of it ( and jihoon ofc) so yah the whole thing was unpredictable, intro song did a lot of foreshadowing and i had a feeling this series will give me trauma and it did. Sieun was on his own when the show started and he was on his own even when it ended...
As of chapter 226 in the webtoon (the most current chapter as of December 31) we still don't see where Suho is and how he is doing. All we know is that his family moved him away somewhere without anyone knowing, not even Si-eun. There is a cram-school mate who is jealous of Si-eun's acaedemic success, and in order to sabotage Si-eun's exam revision sent him an edited video of Suho being out of the hospital, which caused Si-eun to head out to find Suho but ended up finding that it was a fake photo. That's all we have so far.

3 sure, suho is back he is alive and working on a coffe shop. The weak hero comic is finished with sieun meeting with suho, that's all the suho scene in the main story, because season 1 of this show is not the main story. But we will get extra chapter of weak hero this november which i think we we get another suho scene

i read the webtoon after watching the show and thinking theres no way i can move on from sooho and sieun, but the new characters and storylines are SO GOOD so im incredibly excited for the next season. and everyone says sooho is cooler in the show, which he is, but i reaaally liked webtoon sooho as well so the fact that they somehow improved everything blows my mind. hopefully whatever changes theyll make to the second season will also be just as good

The only time i watch the end discussions. This is my favorite drama! Sadly none of the charaters but the main is in season 2. In the webtoon, the actcual story starts at his new highschool (with new charaters).
Show is badass. Season 2 definitely in on the works. There’s another Kdrama called “The Devil s Judge” it’s insane with lots of twists… crazy utopian drama… highly recommended

Hi guys, enjoyed your reaction vids on this a lot! If you are looking for some other dark, thrilling kdramas to react to, here are a few to check out. 1) One Ordinary Day. This is only 6 episodes. It's a remake of a British show (Criminal Justice) and an American version, which you may know as The Night Of. It's better than both of those. 2) King of Pigs. This is another great show that deals with bullying and revenge. 3) Beyond Evil--this is a murder mystery with a lot of emotional depth. So well acted!

SInce you guys loved this show I also recommend the Kdrama D.P as it also revolves around systems of bullying and abuse except its in a military rather than school enviornment!

I love how the three of them were different but complimentary; Si Eun were physically weak but mentally strong, So Hoon were both physically and mentally strong, and Bum Seok were both physically and mentally weak
I hope to God and the heavens that somewhere down the line that congressman will be exposed as the monster that he is and pay dearly for his crimes. Bum Seok did some horrible things and I hate how he let his jalousy consume him but I wish him to be the one who will deal the deadly blow that will end his father's career and image beyond redemption. It has to ! 😢😢😢😢

I just listened to a gay live show in Korea and a guest mentioned huge high school fights that made the news. I went and searched out of curiosity and one of the stories about a death came up with details that are similar to one of the stories in the Weak Hero web toon

Why teachers never been in class? Bcs korean school system have three moments. One- class time started at 8.30 pm to 5-6 pm, and students have big break time in dinner an 1 hour. Two - one class have one room and teachers come doing a class. Three - in the end of class students have 1-2 hours long self time for studying when teachers not controlling a situation. So it's looks real if know how is working and suddenly bullying in korea very systematic thing... not only in school.

@@420cm it’s about a police officer and his team trying to catch a serial killer but he finds out that they were chasing the wrong guy and the killer is someone in their department. It’s rlly good it has a crazy plot twist too- there’s 20 eps tho so it might take a while to finish but it’s worth it 🏆

Yesss! I love The Uncanny Counter.
The thing with bum seok is that he obviously had big feelings for soo ho, almost like a crush. He was getting attention from soo ho which he doesn’t receive at home or anywhere else in his life, because of the bullying and abuse. So when he saw Soo ho with the girl his mind went places it shouldn’t have. His only source of love and attention was being taken away from him. It also didn’t help that people were putting stuff into his head. So he went about it the only way he knew how, which is violence. He had so much pent up anger inside of him and he took it out on the wrong person. That’s a reason why I can’t hate bum seok, I understand him and his feelings. I just wish he had better people surrounding him who made him feel safe and loved. Someone he could go to to talk with. Everyone around him was too rash and quick, soo ho included. His friend was obviously going through something deep and instead of ACTUALLY trying to help him, he was trying to fight him. I just feel bad for every character on the show.
