Howie's call of Mark Canha's 9th inning homer is an instant classic.
As a 50+ yr Met fan I'm just becoming aware of how brilliant out booth is at doing their job. When SNY isnt covering the game you really notice the drop in quality.
@@thegoodfight365 absolutely. The play by play crew and radio announcers (English and Spanish even tho I don’t understand Spanish) is just so incredible. The best in the sport, no question.
I’ve recorded that moment with Howie and the follow-up by Wayne, they make a great team together themselves.

I wanna hear the Phillies broadcasters calling this game. The 7-run comeback was comedy gold from their crew. They were trash talking the Mets and so disappointed when the Phillies lost.

Been following baseball since the 69 mets i think the braves and astros will be tough to beat if we dont have home field advantage i dont think so im not even worried about the Dodgers

Many years ago, Mets broadcaster, the late Bob Murphy, ended calling a wild Mets comeback over the Phillies saying the Mets "win the damn thing 10-9"!
I thought of Bob Murphy after the game yesterday.
I did also.
Everything about the Mets is simply incredible. The players, the record, the drama, the comebacks, the wins, the losses, the play by play crew (Gary Keith and Ron and even the people in the van), the radio broadcasters (English and Spanish), the Manager (Buck Showalter), the rotation, the bullpen, the FANS, the Social Media Team, EVERYTHING is just so fantastically good it’s absolutely unbelievably amazingly beautiful. I love this team so much and wherever they end up at the end of the season, this will undoubtably be one of the most memorable season in this teams history, win or lose come October. LGM‼️

Gary Cohen broacasted the home run of Segura with the same emotion as he were of the Mets.
Thats why hes one of the best. Tries mot to show favoritism but it comes through. Hes a fan of baseball before all else

When Nido is ready, I think McCann should be sent down and Perez kept as the backup. Played 3 of 4 vs PHI and had 2 big hits in consecutive games. Of course this won't happen, but it should as Perez has proven to be a good defensive Catcher as well.
If though the Mets lost a couple of games, they always find a way back to winning.

Injuries
injuries to carrasco and walker. Plus we played a doubleheader yesterday so we needed a bunch of new players to fill in for starting and relief pitching. Nido is out with some illness, Escobar is injured, and guillorme is injured. So we also have a few new players like baty and perez filling in. Yolmer Sanchez we just picked up on waivers 3 days ago. And u prob saw the trades but naquin and ruf we got thru trades. Hopefully that answers all ur questions!
Nate Fischer? There's no info on him at The Score. Where did he come from? Lately they've come up with a handful of obscure pitchers getting the job done. Credit to the front office.
