I had a terrible realization. We know gigantamax is coming to the game, but we don’t yet know what purpose they will serve, since we already have megas. And if you’ve been paying attention, starting last October we have had a LOT of events offering additional XP, which almost certainly means that level 60 is coming. What if gigantamax earns you candy XXL which will be required to level mon up to 60? You’ll still need megas for extra candies and xl candies, but you’ll need the gigantamax mon for the XXL candy to raise them up to the new level cap.
Basically supercell giving COC a new town hall lvl once they lose traction.

I don’t even use candy xl because the stardust requirements are so expensive. It’s a ridiculous system
And it'll cost 100 XL Candy plus 100 Regular candy to make 1 XXL for some reason...
They'll probably have to triple or quadruple the ways to get stardust and candies without having to grind extra hard. It's definitely possible to do the math to figure out at what rate players would need to casually grind / daily grind to reach a certain level for their mon's that's comparable to what we need to do for XL candies now.
Obviously what I'm thinking is arbitrary, but maybe making rare candies 100% easier to obtain (adding them as stop spin items, gym-team bonus items and 7 day streak items like they did with evolution items before they were rare as heck) XL candies 50% more easier to obtain whether through regular 2* + raids, higher transfer and catch rate at level 31+ (Maybe adding a candy conversion badge that offers higher rates of catch candy and catch XL candies; progressed by converting them from regular candies into XL and whatever will need to go beyond it). As long as they make the two previous levels easy to gain I don't see there being much of an issue. Yay, more paywalls!

Don’t get your hopes up for the adventure effects having a rare spawn, because apparently they lowered its cost to 1 candy, so I feel they know how crap it is 😢
I'm just hoping they use this mechanic with Kyurem so people with good basic Kyurem(cough, hundo) can be useful
I’m sure that’s how it will be I can’t see them making a separate system for the same thing (fusions). There 2 lazy to make 2 things for the same mechanic.

I personally wouldnt blame them for this situation since we never thought they would add form changes but this really makes mons like Giratina weird since we technically have two different mons since they cant change between altered and origin forms

Can you have more than one fusion? Is there anything stopping me from fusing both and just leaving them that way
so the plan for the global is:
Day 1, Necrozma raids to hunt for the shiny
Day 2, Necrozma fusion raids to get the fusion energy
I think all the raidable ultra beast's is also in raids so its a good time to get the regionals that dont normally spawn in your area.
I do wonder: would fusing Necrozma and Solgaleo/Lunala raise the IVs by at least a couple of points like how Purifying a Shadow having a similar mechanic. Say I have a Lunala at 13/13/13, and if I have a Necrozma at 2/2/2 or more, or maybe vice versa, etc. Anyway if I have a Lunala and Necrozma with a certain amount of IVs, and if I fuse them together, would they not only become one Pokémon, but their IVs would also increase by a certain amount of points?
It should all get the necrozma iv's + shiny if necrozma is shiny

I like how it’s shiny locked if you don’t have a ticket. They should do this with all Legendaries / Mythicals forcing you to pay you cheap asses… 😂🤣✌️
