@@jaswriting haha I think stories rarely go according to plan 😅 it takes so much time to outline and I realized it ends up being a waste of time to invest so much into something that will likely change! I just focus on the general direction I want things to go now and recalibrate every few chapters.
@@jennlimwriteslove this! And yes totally agree. Thats the same reason why I dont go and plot everything scene by scene. It’s more fun letting the story do its thing and unfold itself haha
I love tracking how much I write every month hehe partially because I love stats like a silly person LOL but also for a similar reason that you like tracking the 5000 words 😊 it feels very motivating hehe
Love all of your tips! I learned so much in the process of finishing my first draft! I used to force myself to describe the scene or force the dialogue, and the use of placeholders would have saved me a TON of time and headache! Definitely going to be utilizing them with this next story’s first draft!
so so good! you give some great tips and i'm going to have to remember these when i start revising project edit. the placeholders have been a personal lifesaver for me in ALL my drafts lol
I think I had a lot of the same takeaways from this last year, but as a plotter turned plantser 😂 sometimes you’ve got the let the book just book!
omg the reverse!? now I wanna hear how that happened lol
