    Cassie was beaten, drugged, trafficked, threatened, stalked, and had her music career held over her head. She was literally in hell. Diddy had absolute control over that girl, and she was, in fact, just a girl when he got hold of her. He mentioned in a song that she was smart, and that has borne out. Cassie had to have kept some damaging receipts for Diddy to have settled that fast. Good for her. She deserves every dime.

    Unpopular opinion. - Cassie’s relationship with Diddy started because of what he could do for her and his status and money . I think she thought of what she could get out of it and she was down to do some things at the beginning. However , Diddy started getting more violent and even pimping her out to other people for favors and even keeping her under the influence. I also think she liked the lifestyle he provided, she didn’t like the abuse but she liked the lifestyle . Sometimes people sell their soul for money and fame and she signed up for Diddy thinking he was going to help her but he just ended up trapping her .

    Therapist and survior here. Love Luonell. While I understand it seems strange to wait that long to come forward, you'd be surprised how many survivors keep it to themselves for DECADES. Many survivors aren't ready until they're next big birthday may be their last. Doesn't matter if SA happened in childhood or later. Victims suffer from an absolutely absurd amount of self blame which is why getting them into therapy quickly matters. We should make therapy free. In the longterm, it would save us a lot of money. Tra**icking adds a whole other level to the shame, as does video and photos. I was trafficked as a teenager by my mother. Most people who went through what we go through dont make it past their next birthday. When you try to file a police report, the police refuse or try to talk you out of it. Also, police are more likely to commit SA themselves than a regular civilian. If we want to prevent this, we have to encourage all the silent survivors to speak up. That wont happen when they see Cassie judged.

    Yes it may seem like it’s as simple as fighting back or saying no but sometimes you can become frozen in fear or be so traumatized you don’t know what to do. You could also think it’s something you like and want to do but once you start thinking rationally that changes.

    The subject here is: is she a victim, or is it a stick-up? If Diddy could get her to do that, is it possible that her husband is pulling the strings? Men tend to do that because, let's be real, before all of this came out, her husband would have to know about all of this. No average man can digest that kind of relationship revelation; she would have to then sell her soul again to the man that has given her a sense of validation after all these years. Don't be surprised if he doesn't guilt-trip the hell out of her, causing a divorce only to end up with most of that money she got from Diddy. Granted, she is now even wealthier than the trainer. He might string her up on alimony.

      Yup....that's why I think Michael Jackson was guilty as sin of molesting boys. He settled TWICE out of court after being accused of molesting kids...SMH
      To Michael Jackson's defenders!! SMH the comment at 0:50 about settling out of court being CHEAPER than going to trial to clear one's name [especially if one is accused of CHILD MOLESTATION like Michael Jackson has been 6 times now] is a crock of shit! |
      FACT 1: In 2009 The law firm Mesereau & Yu -- who defended Michael during his molestation trial in 2005 -- filed a claim on 9/29/2009 against the estate. In the claim, it says Michael owes the firm $341,452.05 for work done between July of 2005 and February of 2006. [the time of the trial] so for argument's sake, I'll say DOUBLE that cost that is $ 682,904.1
      =================
      FACT 2. This means Jackson spent LESS to go to trial in 2005 and was acquitted [just like OJ was in 1994 & R. Kelly was in 2008 but who believes they were indeed innocent...but hey]
      =================
      FACT 3: Yet Jackson spent $25 MILLION to settle in 1993 & another $2.5 MILLION to settle ANOTHER allegation in 1994, yet SANE/RATIONAL people are to believe that "settling out of court TWICE" either saved him money OR cost less than if he would have gone to trial BOTH times he was accused then settled??===================
      So...
      a. Vlad saying Jackson settling TWICE after being accused by 2 boys at the time of him molesting them was cheaper than going to trial is CAP!!
      b. His BLACK attorney [Carl Douglass who worked with Cochran in the FIRST accusation] said they settled to avoid a CRIMINAL TRIAL because the 1st of 6 accusers [Jordie Chandler] was able to give a near-perfect description of Jackson's peni$ which would have been VERY DAMAGING to MJ's defense at the time.
      c. If Jackson "regretted" settling out of court TWICE maybe his ass should have NEVER had dozens of boys sleeping over in his bed while he was in his 30's-40's that's just IMMORAL & weird.

    I'm sorry, I'm with Lunell!!!...When you wait years to report & sue any sort of sexual assualt, abuse or whatever etc and it's done civilly and a large amt is involved, I honestly don't think it was that traumatic...I think you're hurting for $$$ and when all of it first happened, you were probably promised a certain amount and Diddy never paid up, so now you're salty and want the funds you didn't get...I'm not buying into it, and this no disregard or disrespect for the young lady involved but I've been a victim as well of abuse, but after so many years, you forgive, get therapy, and let it go...not understanding ppl who come back years later suing for large amounts...

    I was kidnapped and assaulted by an obsessive college roommate when I was 23. I told him he was just my friend but he just wouldn’t take no for an answer. I was raped and beat everyday. The whole ordeal lasted 8 months. I went through unbelievable amounts of physical abuse, psychological abuse, brainwashing. I was even drugged and forced to get drunk among other things. He went to great lengths to make me believe I was enjoying it and that I was actually in love with him but wouldn’t admit it. I tried escaping but he threatened me at knife point to kill me and my family. I was able to finally escape when some of his friends noticed something was wrong with me so I just had to tell them what was going on. But this guy had me so scared that I could’ve called the police the first night I was assaulted but I didn’t. Either way when I was finally away from him and safe I went straight to the police. I filed a restraining order and tried to press charges but I was too young and didn’t know much about the law at all. You would think that victims advocates would be helpful in this case but they were nowhere to be found. I was only 23 and on my own. But I tried my hardest to put this guy in jail. So when I hear of women that don’t come forward for decades, having a support system and even having some knowledge of the law? I mean to me that’s suspect. I’m not saying they weren’t raped but in my experience there has to be something more going on.

    Victims are not willing participants to their abuse. I have ptsd from when my dad would beat my mom and I froze because I didn't want he to beat me. I would apologize to my mom the next day for not calling the police. So when I hear the people saying that why did she stay? Thank God that she got away ❤

    I don't understand how at her age she doesn't understand how someone can be in a mental prison & can effectively become a slave to their abuser through systematic conditioning that leads to the more heinous acts we heard about. She may act differently and I would too but we don't all have to have the same experience as someone to not have empathy or try to get our head how a situation may come about.

    I thought the same thing why didn't Cassie file criminal charges. Found out she did try to file but the status of limitations was up on the things she was trying to file so there was nothing she could do. Also for all that don't know this. Puffy was made of aware of the lawsuit prior to the public knowing he was offering her money then so SHE WOULDN'T FILE. Once you file the case becomes public. She td him no she didn't want the larger settlement she was going to file because she wanted the world to know the details about puffy. She knew the money would still be on the table after she filed and it was because it was gonna go deeper and more shit would be revealed that he didn't want the world to know
