Thank you so much for going very slow and explaining. I'm Very new to colorwork and your video is really helping me. It still doesn't look like yours, but I'm going to keep trying. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! I’m new to trying colour work and I was getting so frustrated with those gaps at the edges of the change in colours. You explained exactly what needs to be done. I’m so happy I found this :)
Suzanne Bryan never disappoints!!! It amazes me how any tricky knitting technique I'm struggling with, you already have an easy to follow video with the answers I'm looking for. I am so grateful for your channel.
Thank you for such amazing and helpful video. Im about to knit a cardigan for my niece with a little of fair isle yoke in flat and this is exactly what I need.
I avoid purling stranded colorwork like the plague but I am making a bottom-up all-over stranded colorwork cardigan.where some purling is required on the yoke. Great video and solved my problem of catching the yarn at the beginning of a new row vs. just pulling it up from the previous row. I knew there was something I was missing. I still don’t like purling colorwork, but at least I now know how to do it correctly! Thank you!
Just ran into this situation today while dealing with ladder back jacquard (ie. the lopsided stitch in colourwork)- I bet this technique can be adapted to stabilize the outer ladder stitch in my project
This helped me SO much, Suzanne! I was so disappointed in a little baby sweater I made with sheep dancing across a field of green for the very reasons you mentioned here. (Stitches that simple did not lie correctly, and hole gaps as well.) I fixed it to some degree, but it doesn't have the softness it should. Granted, I had to carry 3 colors on quite a few rows, but, still. Next time, I'll know what to do. Thanks, again!
Hi Suanne. I have a situation where I have a wrapped stitch before the last two stitches of a row. How do I pick up the wrap and then knit the two last stitches together to conceal that wrap? Thank you!
Is this why I have a 'jog' issue at the beginning of the round when doing a colorwork yoke? I am not catching the other color like you just demonstrated?
I have a fair else pattern where the entire sweater is knitted using rib stitches. I am having difficulties dealing with changes in pattern and dealing with floaters. Do you have a video to teach that or can you direct me to such video. Much appreciated. Your videos are so clear and instructive.
Just curious - is there any way to fix the tightened curling edge stitches after the fact? I'm a rather new knitter and I'm knitting a sock that requires flat two-color knitting up the instep (Half-Stranded Sock in Ravelry). Unfortunately, I didn't see this video beforehand and sure enough, the entire left side curls badly between the main body of the knitting and the picked-up-and-knitted border. I couldn't understand why it was doing that because I made sure the strands were long enough.
Unfortunately not. Sorry. You can try steaming them and stretching them, it may help a little, but usually they go back to being kinked. Hugs and Happy Knitting.
Question. When you trap a float at edge of work to avoid pulling the leg of the blue stitch on next row.... what about when you reach row 12.... you have 3 white stitches to do before the blue .... the blue is under that 3rd white one from previous row ... so do you still trap the blue at the edge or is it just trapped in the stitch before the blue starts ?
Note- Do as I do, not as I say - Dominant color left hand, non-dominant color right hand.
😀
And that's the same whether you are working the right side ore the wrong side. That's what I came here for. Thank you :)

It is up to you. Experiment and try it both ways and see which you prefer. Make a little swatch and try it out.
My uncle did macrame and I would watch him make dolls and stuff with twine
Interesting.
