Thank you so much Lindsey. I just started a teaching posistion this year and I am using a lot of your tips to help me in the classroom. Anything to catch a littles eyes is so helpful. Thank you
+Vanessa Aikens you are so kind! It's just lots and lots of practice...my early pages definitely didn't look like this. I have a playlist on my channel with all my videos using gelatos to give you some ideas on how I use them :)
+Erlyne Osburn thanks! Yes, I used acrylic paint with cotton swabs on the vellum insert I showed at the beginning. If you use acrylic in your Bible like this just be aware that it will cover the words if that's something you would be bothered by.
Silly me! I missed that little tidbit at the beginning. Sorry. I just love the look of the watercolors, but I want to try it with the acrylic paints in my new interleaved Bible so that the words won't be covered. :o) Thank you!
Hi Lindsay, This is beautiful and fun to watch. When you have time check out Jay Lee Watercoloring Techniques. She uses the same method, but provides a wealth of other techniques to use with watercolor.
I'd do this but my mom would kill me lol I'm pretty much gonna use colored pencils and not tell her cause she doesn't really know I'm pursuing Christianity because we've never been religious although I wouldn't do it so dark lol
Wow . I love this technique. TFS 🦋🦋👍🏻👍🏻
Great idea!

love this. did you prep your page first with gesso?
+Robin Laswell nope, I don't usually use gesso.
LindseyDecor thank you. did any of the paint or stamps show through the back
+Robin Laswell no, nothing showed through to the back.
Do you need to put gesso clear on the page first before you start?
I started right away without problems
I don’t typically use gesso...if I do you will see it in the video 😉
Did you prep your page ?
Nope, I don’t prep my pages unless I specifically show it in the video 😉
I'd do this but my mom would kill me lol I'm pretty much gonna use colored pencils and not tell her cause she doesn't really know I'm pursuing Christianity because we've never been religious although I wouldn't do it so dark lol
+Es_Art-Heart I will be praying for you! Colored pencils would be great! If you have any questions I'm here for you 😘
