Hey Edith, it's Joy 😃👋 So medieval themed decks are not my cup of tea, probably because I grew up in a very religious-oriented family & society and have since grown to dislike them deeply; it's a matter of memories and how they affect us. But I own the Oracle of the Roses and I love it! I very much enjoy it's negative space (and I've realised that it's my personal preference, for decks to have "breathing" space, to let me piece the message together stress-free) and the author's knowledge on the subject, the quality cardstock & the fab gilding don't hurt either 👌😉 I have Botanical Inspirations in my wish list, because I enjoy oracles with keywords; I find that not having to go through stacks of books/lengthy internet searches saves time best used focusing on the message trying to be conveyed. But I'm still sitting on the decision of buying it.... Hm, will probably go ahead and buy both Botanical Inspirations & Woodland Wardens together next year (funny story; you know how you sometimes put a deck in your basket and then you take it out and you do that again and again? Yeah that's me with these 2 decks!😂🤦♀) I also own SOTW Beltane and I love it! It's bold, well researched and doesn't mince words; I respect that! I only wish they had keywords under the art instead of the small somewhat abstract paragraphs... Funny story, I actually prefer the 2nd/current artist compared to the 1st... goes to show how different people have different tastes! I love that! I have always liked the Wildwood Tarot, but never bought it because I can't put my hands through it's huge size... But I respect it a lot in terms of research, lore, and artwork. I also like Green Witch Tarot, but I found that one of my deck preferences has to do with cardstock; therefore, I will not be buying MM decks with flimsy cardstock, I will instead save my money and buy indie or MM decks with proven good quality cardstock. I grew up Roman Catholic but in America so while I’m not religious and I don’t go to church I can still appreciate medieval art. I feel you on the breathing thing 👍🏼 Card stock is very important and you are correct that both Green witch and Modern Spellcasters don’t have good card stock.
