Great advice! I've been carrying around a bootable lightweight linux usb for years (Puppy linux) and it has proved invaluable several times. Very valuable tool to have. Never thought to do the same with a bootable android usb. Very interesting.
If the PC you try to run it on has the BIOS/UEFI settings locked you aren't gonna use it on the road by live boot, but the way around that is to boot the image in a portable QEMU install and run that instead. (I copy the folder to the new host desktop for speed then delete it afterwards.) No Administrator rights needed.

I did manage to get it to boot 'once' in guest mode but everything was so small on the screen that it was pretty much useless.
