Welcome to the club my man! I've been running the 16" for some time! Love it! I haven't done a video on my new boat you'll have to check it out! I will be doing a video on it soon! I welded up a bad ass double mount stand but its getting powder coated so hopefully get it back this week! Also the 8616 is awesome for screen recordings because the processor is so fast in it!

Are you still using this unit? Also wouldn’t the 12” 8612 have a better picture since it’s smaller with the same pixelation of the 8616 at 1920 x 1080 meaning the 16” is more stretched out
I used to jig with my left hand and then have to switch the rod to my right hand to reel. Best thing I've done is made myself jig with my right hand. Definitely Lose less fish.
Great video. I heard you say you have your LVS32 transducer on your trolling motor (I like mine there too), do you have a side scan transducers like a GT56UHD-TM transducer hooked up too? And did you have to update that 8616 to the new software version via Active Captain?

Also I think the 8600 series had a way better display than a 126sv. Way better. Way more clear.
Either choice is a win obviously . I have both on my boat.
Show a comparison of screen brightness between the 16, 12 and an Ultra (if you have one). I heard the 16 is a little on the dim side.

Picture quality is less with the 1222
But they both have the same display resolution, I got the 1222
Does the live view transducer come with the 16?
You have to buy separate.
What boat are you getting
