certainly thank you Justin Raines for breaking those links down and thank you Jermaine for having him on your show and the time you put to teach us bass player who wants to master our craft
God bless you guys for all you do and for sharing, may the God almighty replenish all you gave out, and to you ma main boss Justin R. He will continue strengthening you and your family in Jesus name
brilliant! well broken down, thanks for the explanations of the use of chord tones and scale notes to put the licks into perspective! Peace from Scotland....
Thanks for sharing my brother Justin Raines. You are highly skilled! May the blessings of the Lord Jesus continue to flow to you in great abundance. I'm inspired by your awesome playing. What a blessing you are!
You are one of the most epic bass players I have ever seen. I will be watching more of your videos and getting to know your bass lines better so that I can improve my skills as a bassist. Thank you Jermaine Morgan for this vid! Peace man, and God bless! I'll definitely be showing my cousins this one.
Thanks Jermaine for bringing Justin on and showing us those really cool licks. I'm so blown away. Writing this from Zimbabwe. Really going to practice them.
Thanks man every new lick helps I learn really helps me learn the whole fretboard better and makes my style of playing better also! Please keep em coming!
This is great resource! Thanks Jermaine and Justin for sharing this! I wouldn't figure out how to get such a crazy lick from a simple D min7 pentatonic scale. (2nd lick). Playing the 5th of each degree : 1st 3rd 5th and 7th degree of that chord is definitely something I will add to my arsenal. Jumping from the 3rd/5 to the 5th/5 is definitely the dexterity challenge without even mentioning rythm. Got to work on this.
thank you for this great bass lesson justin your definitely one of my favorite bass player i enjoy listening to you and new breed much love coming all the way from Trinidad, God bless
Justin...........keep it crankin Brother.....!! was so very nice to meet You @ NAMM2018 @ the MTD booth......are you ever on the West Coast....? Very Cool Licks.........will have to grab Israel's CD's ♪♫ 😊 ♪♫
Hey, love the tips, but can you add a limiter to your master channel when you mix the audio... Just to kinda make your overall audio a bit louder... I have to use headphones every time I check your vids..
I have a question for Mr Jermaine Morgan. How did you come up with those licks? Was that spontaneous while you were recording, or did you worked it out?
This lesson would be better if the bass was louder -- you cannot hear the bass when he's playing along with recording nor can you hear the bass very well in the recording itself.
Thomas Williams did you find anything else helpful? Sorry it wasn't slow enough , but It's important to remember we share this information to be helpful... gratitude is always just as much appreciated as criticism

Hey, love the tips, but can you add a limiter to your master channel when you mix the audio... Just to kinda make your overall audio a bit louder... I have to use headphones every time I check your vids..
I'm blessed
Thank u
the best
I loved all the licks but I'm having a little trouble getting them
THANKS!
thanks! can you bring big mike too?
Wow. No way man. 😐. That 3rd lick is ridiculous lol.
Had to revisit this again, this is beast stuff man. What song was that 3rd lick from again?
Never mind, I just realized it was the same song duh 🙄
I really liked all the licks but that first one grabbed my attention. What time is first one being played in? It sounds like a 3/4.
It's actually in 4/4. The accents make it feel like its in 3.
Hi, thank you for this video. what is the name of the song in your 3rd lick?
Could you make this kind of video with Sharay Reed ?
I have a question for Mr Jermaine Morgan. How did you come up with those licks? Was that spontaneous while you were recording, or did you worked it out?
yesssssiiiiiirrrrr!!!!!!
Please can you get the pattern for this licks.
Did Raines like to play with saratoga more than mtd536
The last two licks are from the same song
Love the 2nd & 3rd one! I think can fit in many songs, even over major keys- in that speed hardly noticeable it’s a minor.
What was that one at the end though?!
whats the last song?
My Stregnth
This lesson would be better if the bass was louder -- you cannot hear the bass when he's playing along with recording nor can you hear the bass very well in the recording itself.
My momma said, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
Bb
lick one was way too fast. He didn't slow it up enough.
Thomas Williams did you find anything else helpful? Sorry it wasn't slow enough , but It's important to remember we share this information to be helpful... gratitude is always just as much appreciated as criticism
You can use the slow motion tool provided by RUclips :)
Yo Justin Raines so nasty lol
