I was extremely excited for your Fez review! Your stream made me want to replay it and I'm so glad I did. I realised that my memory of the game was tainted by the 4-5 super hardcore puzzles and that scared me off from replaying it and I managed to break that programming by the end of the playthrough. Helps that I quickly reminded myself how to read the alphabet and other things - again, thanks to your stream! I agree with your criticisms. Even I had roadblocks and I had the means and prior knowledge to navigate the world. There are also the secrets that the majority of gamers won't get to experience without a guide. You don't know it, but there is one puzzle that the community had to brute force - millions of combinations, because Phil just didn't give the rest of that puzzle.... probably on purpose. You can find the solution to that puzzle in guides now, but it's unrealistic to expect that the average gamer will try to solve it on their own.
