Was super happy to be able to play Studio Investigrave's newest game immediately after it dropped. I'm having difficulty articulating just how much I love this game's story, characters, art, music, everything-- all I can really do is point at the sprite of Bok-su bringing her hand to her mouth and going "HNNGHHHRgrghkmkhmkmgmgmmhhh...." I loved Elevator Hitch and Dead Plate when they came out, and this one is no exception. Rachel and Rix never miss with their art and stories, and Bell's soundtracks are exceptional as always.

Boksu’s design and sprites are so like, damn. I really wished there was a way for her to get revenge without killing anyone
I like that she enters a wedding with a black coat, says that it’s to fit the occasion, talks about security cameras to the groom, have the option to slander the bride in front of the groom’s family, is confirmed to have a loser personality, can be considered very clumsy due to how she didn’t lock the door even before she killed the groom and also the other failures like qte (she seems to have planned that too considering she grabbed the necklace). Her plan was so well executed but she didn’t even plan the entire thing ahead, she thought up those steps during the wedding hours
Can I add that Myeong-hoon’s done extremely dirty even when putting aside the fact that he was murdered in his wedding, there was a rumour about him cheating, that spread the same day as his wedding and it’s one thing that isn’t even really necessary to Boksu’s plan, in fact she coincidentally overheard it lmao. And the fact that his name means short-lived just makes it even worse
And the part I couldn’t get over is that he invited his own killer, I can’t😭😭😭 that fact just bothers me so much like he got himself killed
Like what Da-jeong did was horrible even if she panicked, she could’ve cleared things up and admitted to her mistake later, she even ignore contact with Bok-su and seemingly treated her badly considering everything she did that’s known to us. But I still feel like that was extreme overkill, framed for murder just like what she did to Boksu, the only way I can put it into words is a buster chain and noble phantasm attack from a max level Musashi on a fodder enemy (Fgo reference, I haven’t played it in a year but that’s the only way I can describe it lmao)

I mean your absolutely right, while yes our main character isn't a good person, I actually was rooting for boksu the whole way, in a kinda ironic way. like she thought everything through well, had a clear objective, and while its awful that she tarnashed myeong's legacy, as well as killing him, all because he had the bad luck of marrying the person that boksu had a vendeta against, I think boksu was probably one of rachel's best protaganists so far, along with being a pretty unique character for rachel's "killer characters"
Myeong-hoons death was kinda necessary i think bc boksu needed the bride (forgot her name) to have a motive (cheating)

This game is one of the best games Rachel has ever released. You don't know if you're an antagonist or the protagonist. The game is short but it's very interesting when you play it!!! 🎉🎉

The characters' names have meanings!
- Bok-su's name means revenge
- Da-jeong's name means kind/nice
- Myeong-hoon doesn't mean anything but when putting together his surname to the front which is usually how its written in korean, Dan Myeong-hoon, Dan Myeong sounds like the word dan-myeong which means short-lived
Myeong-hoon never cheated on Da-jeong, that was a rumour Bok-su perpetuated to fit her agenda.
Rachel: "i know boksus intimidating and vengeful but also she is kind of a loser . she was scared as hell when dajeong was running at her with the knife"
Q: What did Bok-su do when she got caught killing Myeong-hoon in the gameover screen? DId she try to kill the other guests or did she just freeze?
Rachel: "probably froze like deer caught in headlights bc the image of her sweating and going "its Not what it looks like" is rlly funny to me"

I still feel bad for her though. Warming up to someone for the first time in your life and getting betrayed so hard must’ve made her a very bitter and pessimistic person.

edit: i'm not sure if surgeries are anything like America and I personally have little to no medical knowledge but wouldn't an anesthesiologist be present at the surgery at all times? Also, she says "I was the person she went to" this implies that da-jeong just called in another doctor because she messed up, is that even allowed during a surgery? And me personally I would sue to hell out of her if something like this did happen.

I don't know if you've figured it out yet, but you have to dodge by clicking the right arrow key on your keyboard, whenever it says " press " had the same issue until watching a play-through! hope this helps
