Hey, Potato Jet I love this video except you forgot to include the Segway Mini Pro! I use the mini pro as a daily driver everywhere I go. Schools, shopping, hanging out with friends wherever I go I use it because I cannot walk that well due to a condition I have which makes me only 3ft tall and I have a lot of medical issues! So I LOVE the segway as being 14 years old I hang out with friends and make videos quite a bit so the mini pro has given me the ability to have the freedom an average teenager would have! And the segway does KILLER on offroad, especially for two wheels. Edit: As I continued watching you are talking about an E-Bike I'm actually in the midst of making an E-Bike that fits me right now! I'm super excited about it!
I like my OneWheel. I love how smooth that big tire is and the hands-free thing is a big selling point. No interest in going more than 15mph on a board. I'll go for a bike above that speed.

I recently got a Ninebot Kickscooter (the one on this vid). A lot of people say they only got 18 km out of 1 charge, not the 30 km that this scooter boasts. But I myself did indeed get close to 30km, & still had 2 full light/leads (battery indicator lights). One thing factoring in, on how far and how fast the Ninebot Kickscooter can go, is the weight of the rider. I'm 40 kg, so I can go faster than the 30 kg/hr this scooter is said to go. I've read those numbers were based on a 75kg rider. Another awesome awesome board is the Evolve! One of the more pricier boards, but I've seen it go 55, 60 km/hr on a straightaway.
Gotrax makes great affordable eScooter. Mileage and speed don’t match the latest Boosted and Segway-Ninebot eScooter selections, but the cost hits the pocketbook MUCH lighter.

I rode an electric scooter "Bird" for the first time in Atlanta 2 days ago and I came home and ordered the Ninebot for purely fun. I own 2 motorcycles but haven't ridden them in a long time and I don't really see me going back that direction. The scooter is fun, more practical IMHO but I would like to have a one-wheel but not at $1800. If they were $600 I would already have bought one but not ever at that price and there is no reason they are offered at that price other than greed.

Objectively speaking the most fun you can have on a personal eboard is on a one wheel. Those things have so much versatility to power ratio the scooter and boosted can match
I highly reccomend learning to skateboard before a boosted. One wheel is autobalancing so any idiot can ride it, but any non-skater is gonna eat shit sooner or later on a boosted. It definitely demands a bit more from the rider than an auto-balancing board like one wheel

In case anyone is looking to buy any of these, the top speed of the OneWheel XR is over 25 mph not 19 mph (my highest speed is 26.4). 19 mph is the speed where the board lets you know you're starting to hit higher more potentially dangerous speeds.
E-bikes are expensive... depending on what you're looking for. You can get a 35+mph bike for $1500-ish (Juiced), but you can get the most basic of e-bikes on Amazon for about $700 (Merax). I think that would be a good addition to this video. I know one person who has one, I assembled it myself and haven't heard any complaints.

Hey Gene, loving your channel! Would really like you to compare the Canon XF400 and Sony PXW-Z90 with a focus on how you can make them cinematic. I'm basically looking for the best doco camera I can get for under $5k and these are my top contenders. I'm sure I could get a better picture from a DSLR but I need the 'run and gun' from a real video camera.
Electric unicycle is easily the best option, hands down. There is no contest, really. A good 16" wheel EUC is to onewheel what a onewheel is to a regular boosted board. The bigger wheel is just so much better for uneven roads= everywhere. You feel unstable and unsure on one because you didn't take the time to learn to ride it.
My greatest regret is listening to a salesman discourage me from learning the EUC years ago. He emphasized how "dangerous and difficult" it was. Fast forward thousands of dollars spent on various PEVs later, I bought an EUC, am learning it and sold almost ALL of my other PEVs because I agree with you. It's the absolute best. Had I not been discouraged I'd be a pro on it by now.
Hey Potato one wheeler here. Its shame You did not try Evolve gtx with all terrain wheels. It crush offroad and rly flow on streets with massive range. My gf rides it and its much safer than 1wheel. Even tho i love my XR
I've got A Boosted board and the Onewheel. Both great but in the Northeast our roads have too many potholes for the Boosted so the Onewheel is the da bomb!

Potato, have you seen the Freefly demo videos of scooters with their high-power motors installed - 40-50 mph on a scooter makes the death warning very, very relevant. My MiniPro (28 lbs) cost $499 and takes me to the laundry room and mail box very nicely, also great off-road (10" wheels) and wonderful for video. Downside, just 10mph and my feet and calves get sore after 10 min from riding in one position - 'cause I'm 77? I think this would be relieved on a booster board or scooter if you can kick every so often. BTW, NineBot bought Segway, not the other way round.
Everyone is riding electric scooters and one wheels and I’m still on my rollerblades and bike. Not gonna stop riding my bike and rollerblades. I just use my 1970’s steel 10 speed that I got for $5 from a thrift store and my fitness rollerblades and cruise!!! Keeps me in shape and didn’t cost me much.
Hands down MEEPO board!!! I got one and got like hundreds of miles on it with no issues. Plus the owner is on RUclips always showing their new developments. Best bang for the buck and faster than Boosted.

The sidewalk just ended into a hole and I went right in. Woke up in my bed a few hours later with no memory of anything that happened after the crash, I’m still not even sure how I got home. My neurologist said I would definitely be dead without the helmet, so that’s why people should always always wear helmets!
Evolve just released their new model, the GTR (shortly after this video was made), that kinda thrashes everything in the competition. 26mph, 31 freaking miles of range, +offroad tires. GG Boosted. Actually I know Boosted is good, but the competition means they'll have to step up their game.

I love my EUC. It’s very popular at least in NYC. Have you considered trying the CycleBoard? I think it’s the best 3-wheeled e-scooter out right now.
