@@cbmjoe06 basically meant that If Cap believe Sam was worthy to be the next Captain America then Cap also believed that Bucky is not just some killing machine. What I really liked was John Walker was constantly extending the olive branch, but once Bucky hit the cord of his personal stress of holding the position of Cap, is when he snapped (to a certain degree). He's not a bad guy (yet), but he has his triggers and limits. This is where I can see him trying to do anything to get super solider serum, to live up to the mantel even more.

And once he gets his hands on the serum, I believe it will enhance the negative qualities he has. He’s not as “pure” as Steve, so the serum could have significant negative repercussions on his personality.
With the grenade scene, there is an interesting distinction between Steve and John Walker. When John Walker says he jumped on grenades, he said he used his reinforced helmet while in First Avenger, Steve just used his body to take the blow.
That’s what I love about their depiction of John Walker. He’s very close to what we think of in Steve, but he’s still lacking that final flavor of selflessness and sincerity that made Steve the hero he was.
I think he's a guy with a certain point of view, no doubt he is going to be painted as a antagonist, but in reality He's a GOOD Soldier for the GOVERMENT, and I feel in the end he's not the villian of the show... just a force of nature and conflict clouding the true threat
If I had to guess what will happen, I think Walker's definitely gonna get his hands on the super-soldier serum. He's gonna go down a dark path and start abusing his powers, and Zemo is probably going to try to expose him, turning the public against superheroes.
@Gregory Thomas nah if he had the serum then why doesnt he have super strength and speed he got his ass whooped by the flag smasher, he is just good with the sheild

@Spew Sideways what's the point of commenting that on a channel where they and their subscribers clearly have a lot of love for these characters? no one wants your negativity here
i feel ya. it's like johnny carson wanting to give the tonight show to david letterman but the powers that be gives it to jay leno. giving that shield to some nobody who possesses none of the qualities that made steve rogers so beloved is a slap in the face to everyone that fought or knew cap. it's an insult to howard stark who made that shield and an insult to peggy carter who was the first one to test that shield by shooting at it. if only the shield had magical powers that only allows those worthy of that shield to use it. not just sam and bucky. rhodey is worthy of that shield. ant-man, wasp, spider-man, the guardians, thor. they're worthy because of their selflessness. happy is worthy of it and so is peter parker's principal since his grandfather fought with cap. walker isn't worthy of nor does his token bitch battlestar is worthy of it.
@Spew Sideways you feel sad and you feel happy because of characters in a movie.... if you dont, then either the actors aren’t good or the movie just sucks
The reference of The White Wolf that Bucky Barnes mentions to Sam Wilson was on point and love the callbacks to Infinity War. Even the grenade story with Steve Rogers referring back to The First Avenger was a nice callback. The debut of Isaiah Bradley and Eli Bradley (The Patriot) was perfect since they are setting up Young Avengers. Carl Lumbly from Alias to Justice League Unlimited was so good in this episode. Seeing him as an older Supersoldier says their is a chance to see Old Man Cap with Steve Rogers.
Did anyone else notice when Battlestar mentioned the big three in the truck with Sam & Bucky right after it was revealed they were tracking Red Wing? It was a subtle nod to the government spying on Sam and Bucky’s conversation.
@@ghost_kinggamer Power Broker is going to turn out to be the government guy at the shield ceremony and who presented the new Captain America to the press.
it was cringe to be honest, I felt it was the worst acting in the whole show... they may as well gave the guy a stereotypical southern accent, and had him use the word 'Boy'
Did anyone else notice that in the opening scene when Battlestar told Walker "you can't punch your way out of problems anymore" it kinda referenced Nat in Civil War " You sure you wanna try and punch your way out of this one?"
Dude ok I know Walker isn't necessarily a villain but we are meant to feel weird about him but when he entered the fight with the Cap's promise theme playing I lowkey saw him as Captain America. The things a theme can do to a scene or character
People just default painted him as homelander. ..i hope the show keeps him as a hero.... The comics there have been multiple captian America at a single time.. Why can't mcu can too... Give Bucky and Sam a shield too
I'm loving this show so much, the feel is so different from WandaVision! As soon as i saw the trailers I knew I was gonna love it haha... Bucky and Sam are such a bromance XD That moment with Bucky at the beginning got me :( And then with Isaiah too! Can't wait to see more, love your reviews
I didn’t think he was evil towards the end more like a I gave you 2 chances to team up to fix this issue but now there’s a clear understanding they don’t like eachother for different reasons he’s not evil YET
I mean that last comment from him felt out of place for me, perhaps he was just frustrated with trying to get the two guys to 'Get on the team' at this point I don't hate John Walker, I do feel he's an antagonist in this show, as he's put in a position to oppose and conflict with Bucky/Sam... the real villain is probably the Power Broker, and Baron Zemo is going to be a 'Hostile Guide' like Loki has been in the past
I love the fact this Show just told us there are now 5 Captain Americas I mean Steve, Sam, Buck, Isiah, & John Fucking A! This is my Favorite of Phase 4! And it was supposed to release First!
We're gonna need alot of these characters to, at the very least, touch the shield before the end of the series. Falcon, Winter Soldier, John Walker, Isiah, Eli (Maybe), Zemo (Maybe)
I appreciate you guys for being genuinely funny without having to force anything. I’ve been watching you guys for a few months but I’m going to subscribe now. Thank you for the entertainment💜
Thats cause it's his two best friends coming together and coming to terms with their best friends death. Lol why are you saying boyfriend. that makes it so weird.
Greg, you are the first reactor I've seen to comment on how politely the cops took Bucky into custody. Everyone else has either been pumping the air and applauding the acknowledgment of the racism toward Sam (as they should) or complaining about how they don't like Marvel dipping into politics/real world issues with it, but your channel has been the first not only to point out the disgusting treatment Sam receives but also the kid glove treatment Bucky gets. Thanks for that. Also, USAgent still pisses me off. Him wanting to join forces with Falcon and the Winter Soldier isn't necessarily the problem, it's that Walker wants them on "his" team. He's not saying let's all be on the same side, he's saying join me as my sidekicks/underlings. And I don't even think he realizes he's doing it. (Dick.) P.S. That's what I get for commenting before the vid ends - you did make note of Walker's ego and need to be the boss. Nice!
Also, I am torn on the Flag-Smashers. I don’t know whether to hate them or to root for them because of their cause. I’m willing to bet that they took on becoming super soldiers so that they could do what they’re doing.
I loved this episode but I wish we could've seen Isaiah go head to head with the Winter Soldier, it would've been really cool! Who knows maybe we still might! Marvel always "SHOW DON'T TELL!!!" ...
This confirms for me that they are preparing for Young Avengers. The kid that was with Isaiah is probably Eli (his grandson) who later becomes Patriot. We got Cassie from Ant Man, Billy, Tommy, Kate Bishop in Hawkeye and now Patriot. We're only missing Teddy! Love your reaction by the way!
I get...John Walker on some level. Like I get that he genuinely just wants to help but the way he goes about it...it's like he comes in and he just thinks that everyone should be friends and whatever. And of course, the series is setting it up to hate the man because Sam and Bucky are the heroes but I'm really just trying to look at everyone's side. Like, honestly? The only people I hate currently is the government. I understand Sam, Bucky, Walker, even LAF. I don't agree with a lot of that obviously but I get it. So I'm just...hm. And the, "If he was wrong about you then he was wrong about me" line just fuckin killed me I-
Yes!! I've been waiting all day for this! They could not have ended with a worse cliffhanger lmao Also I feel bad for Zemo. I think we all assumed he blipped and came back a free man, but I don't think he was Snapped. He's been in prison this whole time!
The falcon scene with the policemen reminded me of the boys where A-train is injured and the mall security guy from season 1 where he thinks he is stealing
The reason what happened to Isaiah sounds like something that could actually happen, is because it's basically what happened during the Tuskegee experiments. Except those men were far from getting stronger.
Oh I'm early, early. Nice. Edit: (After multiple interruptions by a very nosey but adorable dog) I really liked that the episode began with us following John Walker and made us empathize with him to an extent. Clashing heavily with our initial reaction of disgust towards him at the end of the last episode. Walker attempting to get Bucky's and Sam's support but ultimately misunderstanding why they harbor some animosity and resentment towards him was really interesting and a nice touch. You get the sense that he might be a good dude at the beginning but will fall short of expectations as Cap because he just doesn't understand what the role actually entails.
Thanks guys for your commitment to putting out content. Y’all really pushing yourselves so I hope you guys get a chance to take a break, unwind a bit and get a good night’s sleep :)
I laid down last night tired AF and said I'm going to read one chapter in the eye of the world, and 3 hours later I was like Fack. It's true that a good story will hit you like an adrenaline shot in the heart.
Walker: "Stay outta my way." Sooooo lemme get this straight .... Bucky and Falcon were part of the Save the UNIVERSE from Thanos campaign ... aaaaannndd .... you weren't .... aaaaannndd ... you got the nerve to say THAT to THEM? Mk pumpkin. Buh bye.
The dude said that from frustration... Because how much he tried to do the right thing and extended an olive branch . They hate him by default because the government choose him after Sam gave up the shield.... It made me feel bad that the fans hate him default and compare him to homelander while he is trying his best to do the right thing and cope with the huge burden landed on him
Throughout the episode I was thinking “I know he’s a villain in the comics, but John seems genuinely good.” Then he said “stay out of my damn way” and I’m like ohhh there’s the darker side
Walker: "We're here to help." Sam and Buck: "The hell?" W: "That didn't go well." S: "Screw off." W: "Need a ride to the airport?" S: "Screw off." W: "I want your guys help." S: "Screw off." W: "Hey, I pulled some strings to get Bucky out of jail." S: "Screw off." W: "Let's work together." S: "Screw off." W: "Fine then. YOU screw off." Fans: "OMG, I *knew* he was a jerk!"
@@Cedsoncole In the comics he's a barely leashed mad dog tool of the government. That hasn't been shown here yet - and until it is (if it is - I hope they take a different approach to the character) Sam and Bucky were pretty rude to him all ep. It's fine they're mad that the government went and appointed a new Cap - but that's not Walker's fault.
John Walker starts as a humble, well meaning guy. By the end, he's suffering a bad case of the shield going to his head. Hes going to lose the shield. Id like to think we find him in an after credits scene where he's duct taped into a chair playing pinochle with Mr. Nakajima.
Hard to say if it's going to play out that way, but a possible power trip yeah, in my opinion the real villains' of this show is the Power Broker, and possibly different ideals, and the government
@@redhaze7663 those 2 scenes kinda hit hard for me tbh because i don't hate cops but they treated Isaiah and falcon kinda tick me off the way they treated them

And you can guarantee Marvel will take that knife in your back and twist it further before the worthy sucessor gets that shield back, so buckle up!
The action has been AMAZING in these marvel miniseries
Oh wow. I didnt even connect that.
It's probably a saying in the military

Their little back and fourth jabs are amazing
i loved how the marching band was playing star spangled man

I love how Bucky just went “I’m out!” after hearing Hoskins’ code name and Sam follows a few seconds later like “Right behind you!”
Dude enjoy your trip you guys entertain me all the time and you deserve the trip.
I noticed immediately Captain America: Civil War track "Cap's Promise" playing when John Walker entered the fight.
John Walker is 100% the person sending those threatening txts!

@Unknown Zay the chemistry between the falcon and the winter soldier is probably why
Too soon! Red wing!
An then bucky says yes he wanted to to that.😂😂
Damn, that Isaiah scene was heartbreaking, idk the actors name but he did an amazing job, hope we see more of him.
Man that police scene. Love how they are handling the race stuff so far. Very effective and relevant
it was cringe to be honest, I felt it was the worst acting in the whole show... they may as well gave the guy a stereotypical southern accent, and had him use the word 'Boy'

Sebastian Stan is such a great actor 🙌🏼 you can feel the emotion in his voice when he said “ if he was wrong about you then he was wrong about me” 😢
Did anyone else notice that in the opening scene when Battlestar told Walker "you can't punch your way out of problems anymore" it kinda referenced Nat in Civil War " You sure you wanna try and punch your way out of this one?"
i love that part with that blatant racism by the cops. we need to acknowledge it and change it. not ignore it

Give Bucky and Sam a shield too
funny how superheroes never need to drink water
Hey. Just wanted to stop by and say I hope you’re all doing ok and that you have a good day.
I'm pretty sure that old man Steve Rogers is making an appearance by the end of this show to reassure Sam he is worthy 🤔

Big Hobbs & Shaw energy in this episode
I actually really like John Walker as a character. I hope we see a more brutal side to him just like in the comics.
He really rubs me the wrong way, that’s why I like him as a villain

I like him too! I don’t understand the hate he’s getting. He’s trying his best to be the best Cap he can be. People just hate him bc he’s not Steve
@@the_jdb3351 Steve is overrated in my opinion
I was alternating between rage and joy the entire ep
Sam doesn’t know the favor the flag smashers did for him by destroying redwing.
Actually he does John walker told him that they tracked him thru red wing
It's the government they gonna chip everything they gonna give to everyone working for the government.... They probably have chipped the shield too
I didn’t think he was evil towards the end more like a I gave you 2 chances to team up to fix this issue but now there’s a clear understanding they don’t like eachother for different reasons he’s not evil YET

Thank you for putting in so much effort. Good job!
I loved that show intro, Isaiah Bradley and Elijah Bradley. I'm hoping we get a flashback to Isaiah Bradley vs. The Winter Soldier back in 1951.
Yeah, that would be SICK
Those who fought against Winter Soldier seldom lived to tell the tale.
(Dick.)
P.S. That's what I get for commenting before the vid ends - you did make note of Walker's ego and need to be the boss. Nice!
I set up a timer when I realized no one had posted reactions yet. Now I’m here EARLY!
Someone's been watching Grace Randolph it seems.

We got a glimse of a young avenger(Patriot) this episode.
Notice how caps theme plays when us agent shows up
I get...John Walker on some level.
And the, "If he was wrong about you then he was wrong about me" line just fuckin killed me I-
14:02 I knew it would have taken away from the moment but I was kinda expecting a metal clang when he hit his arm LOL
Damn Marvel Went there. Thank you for that.

Man I wish we’d seen a flashback fight between the Winter Soldier and Isaiah Bradley! Maybe we still will?
Of course they would need to cast a younger Isaiah, but I'm up for it
Yes!! I've been waiting all day for this! They could not have ended with a worse cliffhanger lmao
Also I feel bad for Zemo. I think we all assumed he blipped and came back a free man, but I don't think he was Snapped. He's been in prison this whole time!
The falcon scene with the policemen reminded me of the boys where A-train is injured and the mall security guy from season 1 where he thinks he is stealing
It was cringey and unnecessary

The reason what happened to Isaiah sounds like something that could actually happen, is because it's basically what happened during the Tuskegee experiments. Except those men were far from getting stronger.

Oh I'm early, early. Nice.
Edit: (After multiple interruptions by a very nosey but adorable dog)
I really liked that the episode began with us following John Walker and made us empathize with him to an extent.
Not fair man. You told that you would upload it the next day!!! Was going to bed but I'll have to watch the reaction now.

they didn't save the world endgame was about going back and time and undo everything so selfish!
Me: (to Walker) Dude, your time as Captain America has officially expired.
Oof
Falcon and Buck vanished after Thanos's snap
The dude said that from frustration... Because how much he tried to do the right thing and extended an olive branch . They hate him by default because the government choose him after Sam gave up the shield.... It made me feel bad that the fans hate him default and compare him to homelander while he is trying his best to do the right thing and cope with the huge burden landed on him
Throughout the episode I was thinking “I know he’s a villain in the comics, but John seems genuinely good.” Then he said “stay out of my damn way” and I’m like ohhh there’s the darker side

@@Cedsoncole In the comics he's a barely leashed mad dog tool of the government. That hasn't been shown here yet - and until it is (if it is - I hope they take a different approach to the character) Sam and Bucky were pretty rude to him all ep. It's been a very busy week gentlemen, thank you for pushing through!!
I think it's amazing and very important how this show portrays racism, 'cause it's obviously still a problem and for many it's the truth what is shown
John Walker starts as a humble, well meaning guy.
