    "You make money when you buy it!" Amen! The appreciation is just icing on the cake, but it's not what you should count on to make most of your profits. You gotta get a "deal" from the start. Never pay full retail ;) Happy New Year!

    "House Hacking" is great for city folks too. You can buy up to a 4 unit property for 1 year, live in one, rent the other 3, then move out after a year and rent the 4th. Rinse, repeat. Same idea here. Let the tenants pay the mortgage ;)

    All the independent electric, and sewer hook ups are another plus for a "Park". Most houses/duplex, etc...only have a single electric, water and sewer available, and adding new hook-ups is very expensive, especially sewer.

      That's what I was thinking too. Having water is a necessity out in your fields, and electricity is a bonus!!

    They call them "properties", not "houses" for a reason. Houses can be replaced, but the land and location cannot. Rule #1 of RE is and has always been: Location! Location! Location! . The exact same house on the "good" side of town can have an extra zero on the price compared to one on the "bad" side of town, despite being the same house in the same town.

    I don't like the *look* of that tower, even -- it does NOT look plumb or square. If it's not structurally sound, in the right type of storm, it will fall and take you out.

      We’re on the same page. I think that it was a little bit of the picture making it look like that; but it was a hard pass for me.
