Or is my stuck in the house for days straight brain starting to play tricks on me?!? Rewind the video... yep I heard right😁😄 well that would create conversation about my plant for sure!
My issue is not all of us live in the land of milk and honey for succulents . The soil dose make a massive difference and let's not be lazy and drill a drainage hole people . Like the saying goes you must dig a $100 dollar hole for $100 dollar plant . This mean stop being lazy do things the correct way to begin with . I love you Laura !
Never though about top dressing my plants with...dildos, LoL! I top dressed some of my containers with small aquarium rocks and when I had lots of rain up here in NorCal, they overflowed the container and fell out. Lesson learned, don't use those tiny aquarium rocks for top dressing if your containers sit out in the open with no protection from the winter rains.

@Broken Butterfly. I know, I was so thrown off when she said they could be used as a top dressing. Personally, I‘ve always used my dildos for added structural height. All beautifully arranged pots should have a thriller!😉

Why do you tap down the soil before you put the plant I it?
Kathleen Rowell soil tends to “shrink” over time. Ramping it down slows the process so that you don’t have to deal with maintenance as often.
