As a Barca fan I have to say that we played abysmally. We should have played Felix from the start and we shouldn't have had our back line so high up. I am honestly scared for the future. Even though that was a fantastic goal from Lewa he isn't scoring like he used to. Cancelo is leaving, felix is leaving, and we are broke. The only thing that is going for us is the youngsters Gavi, Yamal, Pedri, Balde and Fati. I sense dark times ahead.

Ill be honest, I always loved Gavi so much more than Pedri and it’s because while he may not have the same technical talent as Pedri, he has so much passion and love, he never fails to remind us fans and the team of the beautiful game. He never gives up and he fights, no matter how many cards the ref may feel like giving him. Real talk, I’m not happy with Xavi. I’ll admit our players aren’t great, but Xavi’s plan clearly isn’t working and he made a lot of long term decisions I think could have been avoided. I agree we can’t get much better. We can’t afford much better. But, I say, if we can find a new manager that we know has experience and is willing to support the team(like maybe Luis Enrique who I don’t believe is so excited to be at PSG, I don’t know, a possibility), we have to jump at it. I love Xavi, but I truly feel he isn’t right for this team.

This real Madrid team as always been great it just the wing backs. Even in the CL last season City beat Real Madrid down because of the lack of wing backs. If Mendy and Dani play like they played in the last two games no one can beat them not even City.

Barcelona is done for. Their young players are doing too much. They are going to continue to drop like flies to injuries as Xavi has no choice but to make them play harder in order to accommodate their older players. Madrid thankfully have 3 players who are versatile and young that can rotate and take off that extra labor of running/exhaustion over the next half of the season. I still think they’ll get another injury or two but for sure far less than Barcelona. Even if Barcelona find form it won’t last long as Pedri will most likely get injured from being overplayed and same goes for Yamal as he is still far too young. It’s a shame but that’s the place Barcelona and modern football have placed themselves. These young talents and even young world class players will still strain their bodies due to lack of squad depth and more game counts. And that diminishes their qualities as players very fast through injuries or muscle/mental fatigue or strain and at the worst timing possible at an age where a player is still developing crucially

Gavy who? He was on the 0-4 at the Nou Camp in last year’s Copa del Rey . He’s got a lot of energy but he is not what people think he is a the skills level. Gavy is a little overrated by Barca fans, but necessary in any team he is a Casemiro type player but with a lot LOT less technical ability. For now, he can improve massively.
I don't think Barca is as bad, because remember this same team was defending this same trophy and also la Liga. I would say Barca did good while in this situation of little money and losing legendary caliber players due to age. A strong Barca is good for la liga as it boosts the rivalry between them and Madrid and with Girona Sociedad and Bilbao looking fairly strong and obviously Atletico as well, la liga could really return as the undisputed best league itw. Its simply not a very physical team, so there's a problem with preparation or the players aren't putting the effort. I'd also argue that Xavi's message about cruiffism is getting lost on guys like Gundogan and Lewandowski, and his stubbornness to keep with it are making the squad lose faith on him.
