If I am correct Jae originally wrote the lyrics in English, so for the official song they had Youngk to convert the lyrics into Korean, I think they changed the meaning in korean one too. But the English one sounds more smooth and better.

I listened to it on spotify accidentally and i felt comforted but listening and absorbing it's lyrics over and over again makes me cry. It's lyrics are sad yet comforting at the same time. Hi! I think this song was inspired based on what they were currently feeling. This song is kind of sad but the meaning is deep. Some of the members are not in a good place right now (mentally). Promotions for this comeback was suspended to care for their mental health. And during their concert in our country in the Philippines last November, Young K mentioned in his ment that for a while, he was looking for the reason to keep going. Same with Jae.

It was 2 yrs. ago when I suffered from social anxiety. I was a grade 10 student when other people seems to be unreachable. I became uncomfortable with others presence. I suffered from anxiety attacks, I'm aware I'm unstable emotionally and mentally. It was one of my darkest moments in life. This song understand me completely, that is why even it's 2 yrs. ago, I'm still crying. I'm still fighting it rn. So, everyone, we can survive, we are alive and we must continue living hoping that one day we can find genuine happiness. God bless ❤️

@@slaysoob4097 Same, I was considered as "cured" for the last 2 years (even tho we know there is no cure for depression, only treatment), but its my 3rd month in quarantine, unemployed (cause I lost my job a week before the covid-19 strike in Sao Paulo, so its very hard to find a job now) also I can't got to my dance classes that helped me overcoming depression and neither can I properly study for college cause Its hard to focus at home. Its all at once but let me tell you that WE ARE NOT ALONE and we will be okay eventually! Take a deep breath and hold on, we can do it!

Honestly, I feel like the emotions are portrayed a bit more deeply in the Korean version. I love both, but prefer K. I think it’s Young K’s first line that really gets me feelin that way. But that’s just me :)

tbh zombie was the first song I heard from them, and it exactly suited my current situation. Aaand It's the first song I've heard that doesn't put pressure on people to recover right soon; rather, the song attempts to inform listeners that they're not alone in their feelings, and that they're not the only one who keeps telling the world that they're still here. The song tells people that it's okay to be sad, because that is what makes us human.

I listened to the Korean version without understanding and thought it was a nice sounding song.
But now that I can understand these lyrics, suddenly I found myself fighting tears. I haven't found a song that encapsulates how I feel approaching 30. I'm fighting to keep my head up and keep my dreams alive in a world where dreaming is impractical, told how I should or shouldn't be at this age, wrestling with thoughts of "am I good enough?" Going through the motions, I realized sometimes I do feel like a dead man walking. This song sounds like it's telling you "Hey man, I get what you're going through." We're all jumping through the same hurdles, but I guess it's nice to hear someone acknowledge it.

Day6 concerts are the best. I went to the one in Miami because that’s where I live and I risked everything for them. They are my ultimate group and me and my friend were waiting in line for the hi-touch and before meeting them face to face, my friend starts crying because she’s very emotional and soft. Wonpil was the first member and told my friend don’t cry and to be happy. I swear that Day6 is the sweetest.
This version is even more depressive than the original one. Nice.
I feel like the Korean version have some lines that hit me harder but as the hole song this one would make me cry more easily

Honestly, I was carefully analizing both versions (Korean and English ones), cuz the first time I heard this version I agreed with some comments about that this one has deeper lyrics. Actually both versions are very, very similar; contrary to other songs where the Korean and the English versions are totally different and talk about totally different topics (like "The boys" by SNSD just as an example), when an international fan would think "If its the English version the lyrics would be as identical as possible, just changing the translation", but most of the times, its not like that.
The thing with this song, and the reason why I can tell for sure that this version hurts more is cause of lines like:
"Dejavu so I close my eyes
, Let the demon sing me a lullaby"
"Today’s a present that I don’t want.
So I’m wonderin’ in this world Am I really the only one Who’s been wantin’ to hide out from the sun And run"
While the Korean Ver states that the days are all the same, and he wonders how to get through that, and that maybe he would feel better if he cries his heart out, I honestly think that by this part, the Eng ver sounds deeper.
Then both versions express that he really wants that to change, but it just doesnt and he cant do anything about it. But the Eng ver literally says that he has these dreams, he still have them but even thought he wants them to come true, apparently they wont, never; cuz the things that he desperately wants in order to be happy, are like impossible.
Now the bridge.
While the Korean ver says hes gonna get it all out and cry, the English one says "Tell the world that I’m still here tonight", like when you feel everybody is busy when their own business and you feel left behind, as nobody notices you but you really want to tell them you're there... I've been there :(
And finally, while the Korean ver says he has became a scarecrow without a brain, and his head and heart are empty, the English one says that he became a zombie And there’s nothing that can cure him, as he just wishes to stop and close his eyes forever, as if he lost all hopes and dreams. We all know what this means, and it hits harder.
All of these are my reasons to love this version more, please keep supporting Day6 and dont sleep on them! Greetings from Colombia

I would like to note that I didn’t analyze both versions but this is based on the comments. What if both versions fit into a larger story, the kor ver could be a reflection of the heart/body, empty and soulless, wanting to cry it out and stop the feeling or lack there of, while the eng ver is a reflection of the mind, it’s hopes, dreams and shattered state.

I think the English version of zombie's lyrics can better reflect the meaning of the whole song.
I don't know if a language one's more familiar with plays a role here, but I can relate more to the Korean version compared to the English one..
Imo the Korean ver hits harder. Certain lyrics I relate to more. “I became a zombie, 머리와 심장이 텅빈” which means “I became a zombie, with a hollow brain and heart.” It just resonates with me because of how empty I feel whenever I see my “friends” or “people that make me happy”. But every song is up to interpretation.

And now, a year later, I’m returning just before young K’s enlistment, and with Day6 facing a seemingly uncertain future, with enlistment, solo careers and contract negotiations, I just wanted to say a thank you to them. Thank you for 6 years of stories, music, crisis, high points, and so much more. You guys are the reason I’m into kpop and k rock today, and I thank you for it. To Jae, Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon, whatever you do and wherever you go, whether you stay together, split apart or move, I just wanted to say thank you. You have proven rock can work in the Korean music scene, and your rise has been phenomenal. I’ll support you wherever you all go, and I’m sure we shall see you all again, sometime.
