^ Builds the posterior chain better than lunges and bss. You can load a hip thrust a lot heavier than a lunge (I currently do them with 365 on the bar). And working them in to my routine helped me a break a long standing deadlift plateau. Went from 525 to 565 in just 3 months of incorporating them.

she is just a narcist and opportunist , wants to get as much attention as possible. As a black woman , how can you do that in a mostly male white dominated society ? a society that is being more and more questioned/critised by its non white citizins ? EASY answer : you side with the dominant white males against the non whites. They will make great use of you. You will become "validated" by them as such and you will get so much attention. Attention you would never get siding with the obvious truth, cause there are so many already and rightfully so doing that.

Then they had the nerve to say the gym was no good because they weren't making any progress 😀
If those were the real Barbarian Brothers (David and Peter Paul) those guys were pretty big. Loud, flamboyant, and funny as hell.

Lmao the Blechman references are back. This show always makes me feel better. On a serious note, I only squat 30 pounds over my weight because that is heavy for me. Gets my ass and legs sore for 4-5 days. I'm happy with that.

I owned a gym for seven years and just like Steve Weinberger, I found myself running to tell certain overzealous patrons that the weight they were attempting was beyond their capabilities. Cracked me up again Lee, re: those women who do those hip thrusting exercises In the gym - I agree with Dave - they should just do plain old squats if they want to build their asses. So interesting what Lee says about mental blocks and that chap, I always benched with my dad strong as anything, when I went to the gym mentally I'd never seen anyone lift 3 on each side, this dude came in and did 5, I could never get that block out of my head. But the years went by, only took creatine and I deliberately went just 4 sets of four with 2 plates. After a few weeks, I did nine out of the blue. Time to increase the weight. After not much time, 3 on each side, I was not worried because I knew I could get at least 1 because I had 2, a 10, a 5 and a 2.5 and was not hard.
So when I was young I did an easy 350; so go within your limits fellas, slowly slowly goes the road.

Forget spotters, give me a nice cage or safeties. I've failed sane lifts on a set and just wiggled out from under and kept lifting. No injuries. Got to go to failure now and then or negatives and lifting alone safeties are a must for me.

That's true! A lot of people are already defeated mentally, before maxing out, because the number weight on the bar. I've seen guys bench press 225 for 10 reps, but couldn't bench 300 lbs! It's mental!
