3rd kits aren't completely out of question, they could happen. Just because it's the end of seasons doesn't mean that kits will end but I'm leaning on there not being 3rd kits for this game
Some rightfully so, though. You really don't want Jet to be good in current enviroment, and with Marker it is dangerously close to being really damn good. Give vJet literally any other special and bam, it's an instant top tier. Even if it's something stupid like Wavebreaker, it would benefit even from a free refill.
I wouldn't entirely say screwed, a lot of weapons have just either balancing problems (i.e. Splatoon 2 screwed them over and they're still trying to recover) or a special that needs tuning better.
While splash doesn’t need a 3rd kit, we were robbed of the zipcaster splash that was shown in trailers. So should go in “potential new playstyle” tier. Like neo splash should have gotten that as a special instead of tri strike, since ttek splattershot is a thing
Here's a fun fact: The “Custom” Weapon Brand is the brand with the fewest third kit weapons in S1 and S2 (that got at least one), as it has a lot of weapons, but it only had Grim Range Blaster. It's so funny but also kinda sad
Yeah, Gloogas are in a pretty good spot kit wise. Vanilla has perfect sub synergy and a good special, Deco has one of the best specials in the game and the sub synergizes with it and fits the play style.
Burst Storm Undercover clears any kit that someone can come up with for undercover, if it got that it could probably replace the short range shooter role
Storm would be alright with it. Undercover is better as a support because it can’t kill that well. I think booyah would be better because if someone pops your shield you can use it to save yourself and get your shield back. Because it is a support booyah can add extra paint to it.
It'd be better than its current kit but it would still be an INCREDIBLY niche pick, casuals likely to prefer the others and comp players preferring just literally any other weapon or just using the short range shooter that it somewhat fills the role of
yeah unironically, i love both kits just fine. Kinda forget its S2 kits even though im pretty sure i used them both recently, but i believe it gets mist inkstorm, which has insane synergy even though mist isnt the best, and at least mist cant be painted over unlike bombs. Even with reefslider in S3, i remember doing particularly well with that weapon in particular, simular to how somehow, i actually preform above my average with Anakii Nova even though on paper, inkmine and the main weapon seems underwhelming
It's shocking how in the entire series Dapples have never been given a good kit. Like it consistently got fucked over, in S3 you literally have to choose between good sub, terrible special or terrible sub, good special. Personally I think burst bomb Inkzooka would be amazing (inexpensive sub with a mid-long rang counter) or burst rain (rain is a good tool to push in with and allows you to recover when making risky pushes quicker).
As a Big Swig main... my ideal 3rd kit would be Burst Bomb and Triple Splashdown. Was gonna say Fizzy Bomb but since it's horizontal swing's min damage was increased to 40, I could see Burst comboing with it very well. As for Triple Splashdown? I like it and it might give Swig a more aggressive play-style.
Honestly, I wonder if a lethal bomb would be better? Depends on how you want to play the weapon. Burst bomb is better for aggression, which isn't big swig's thing, and doesn't synergize as easily with the vulnerable Tri-strike.
@@Cool-Vest big swig can definitely play aggressively and can do it really well if its given the proper tools and burst bomb is perfect for that. even if it isnt playing aggressively burst bomb still helps really well with its poor damage output also they said triple splashdown, not triple inkstrike

Not having a sub that can go over walls and boarders feels bad, but I like the curling bomb because it can provide a solid escape options and helps overall mobility while having solid damage. I think if sploosh had tristrike or a different special that allows it to get over walls, it would be 10x better
Don't think it will happen but if Blob getting a Burst (Dart isn't cutting it), Blob can literally go from midline to frontline with very steady aim and insane ledge camping
It may not be bad but for me I really don't vibe with wall and vac. If it means supportive we already have vBlob with huge paint output to control area. Even Point Sensor I would prefer that over Wall to help tracking peeps above the ledge or behind covers then arch the shots over
@@daneleventsixti wall vac would be another (and healthier) take on a supportive kit for blob. instead of sitting back and being a paint bot wall would enable blob to actually move forward and helps cover for its fairly slow fire rate, while vac is to, yknow, support its teammates and force it to move forward instead of sitting back and painting the zone while going 2-9 kdr. blob is a weapon that should never be given the tools to sit back and not move forward at all, and this kit would be perfect for that while still fitting a supportive play style sensor wouldnt really help it play aggressively because of its slow fire rate and decent amount of downtime. and even if it sat back and spammed sensors it doesnt really benefit the weapon because then it cant really play off of them effectively. and then if it had sensor vac blob would be awkwardly forced to move forward to use ink vac and then run away when the special ends. ...also it would be the 3rd slosher to get point sensor and thats more than likely not going to happen
Dart cuts it very well for a frontline Blob though. It /would/ be better with Burst, but then again, aside from S-Blast, everything is better with Burst, and in many cases too much good can be too much. Marker is enough to patch up Blob's inability to quickly follow up, and as a bonus it's the only weapon where Marker's trajectory and main's reticle actually match. In some cases Marker is even better, since it's easier to hit than Burst direct, and both pass the 2-shot treshold (while Burst's splash does not).
@@TheLaXandro ??? no????????? marker doesnt work well on blob at all and doesnt really do all that good of a job at enabling it to play aggressively. marker is such a whatever sub on blob and barely helps with anything and also works about as well as marker worked on slosher deco at the release of chill season 2022. yeah sure marker can combo with blob and kill with only 2 blobs. but remember how slosher deco at release couldnt combo with marker if the opponent had just 1 sub of sub resistance? nearly the exact same problem exists on blob deco where 1 sub of sub resistance makes the marker combo go down from 2 blobs to just comboing with 1 blob. so you're essentially praying that the person you're trying to kill doesnt have any form of sub resistance in order to combo properly
