true but to me it seems pointless to run games at 1440p on these cards atleast natively, performance drops to low 40s which is not worth the improved image sharpness imo, of course you could just upscale from 1080p with dlss and it would look pretty good.
With shared system memory, especially with ddr5, 8gb VRAM is enough for a xx60 series card. However I was really hoping for more vram variant in 4060 for applications beyond gaming (namely ML). The 4060ti 16gb is in a whole different price range too.

really depends on what you play and resolution, if you dont really need 12GB VRAM you better go with 4060, it also consumes a lot less power also depends on the prices, they vary a lot throughout regions, in my country used 3060 is similiar to 4060 used price, new 3060 is not available so i would pick the 4060 for my case, no need for 12gb vram yet but its just in my case, maybe your case is different im waiting for the 5060 though or i will pick up a used 4070 if the 5060 isnt convincing me once its released

I have watched few videos about 4090, 4080 and 4070 TIS with 7800x3d and all of them seem to get almost the same fps 550-600 usually. When the ryzen 9000 series releases, will we get more fps in fortnite because now we get limited by the 7800x3d?

Not everything is so bad with RTX 3060. Frame rate is acceptable.
For me anything under 60 Frame rate is not acceptable.
