Those called banana suckers. The holes have specifications, which vary based on what someone knows and also the soils. The sucker be has taken isn't the right one...he needed the ones with pointed leaves. The ones with pointed leaves ..means that they are still safe from pests etc.... there are many banana growing videos...have a look and you will learn about growing bananas. . he didn't prepare the sucker before planting. We try to remove as much roots and leave just those necessary for growth
