Mike met with his fate, as it is said that things happen for a reason. For example, The Grandfather paradox where if one goes in the past, kills their grandfather before the birth of one of their parents which in turn would eliminate that person's existence. This shows that the consequence should match with the result of what happened in the past and it could be in some other way but the result has to be the same or one wouldn't exist.

Time machines break laws and functionality of universe and hence there is no way god will let us do that on large scale but still maybe little time travel is possible

Let's say he was teleported to a fifth floor building but it was not there in the past, and he fell from that height... I think the lights speed is the barrier to the time travell...sort of like a graph...there consider 0 as a light speed...then plus side will be our position like we are moving towards future in time that is positive...if we increase the speed it will take some energy to gain the speed then our time will be slow down...that is we are slowing down the future event that is negative....(in our world we cannot see negative things...like we can calculate but we cannot show the negative things) if we can achieve the lightspeed then time will stopped that is 0 in graph....(there are the theories that we cannot achieve the lightspeed it would require enormous energy) if we somehow add the negative energy like a constant we can sure travell into the negative part of the graph...that is our past.

The biggest problem with time travel to past is that,
If matter and energy are conserved in the universe, then how does matter come from some point in a timeline to another point in time. Another problem is how can two same atom exist at once.
For instance, a carbon atom in a piece of plastic in 2023 existed as an atom of carbon in crude oil in 1990, then a time traveler takes that piece of plastic to 1990, how does that atom of carbon exist at two points at once?
