    My notes:
Prayers definition: Lifting of the mind and heart to God- the will
You will not be happy without prayer.
Level 1: Vocal prayer- Private and public. Private vocal can be more efficacious unless it’s the Priest is doing it, i.e. mass.
    Vocal requires lower faculties.
You need to give the most attention.
Level 2: Mental/meditation- involves imagination. Reasoned application of the mind.
    Looking at Jesus’ perfection.
Must have quiet unless advanced. Internal quiet is a must. Mentally ill have a hard time due to their imagination and lack in control.
    (STOP YACKING IN THE CHURCH)
Approach tenderly, humble, give Jesus your attention. You’re talking to GOD.
Level 3: Effective Prayer the will is predominant and you can move directly into it and there is a intellect. Don’t do it for the consolation and not become
There’s a detachment to worldly things. You do things for love of God. You need to fulfill your duties.
Prayer of simplicity: Gaze upon a single object. Fixation. Faculties become focused. This brings you to mystical contemplation. When you get this continually then you are without attachment.
    Root out your imperfections.
    Ask Mother of Sorrows.
Contemplative prayer: Mystical .. an invasion of faculties. You see or know experiences. Operations of The Holy Spirit. This is God.
    Root out ALL imperfections.
You start gaining virtue, your faculties are more subordinate to reason. God can lift you over into this. God intends for everyone!!!
This isn’t clear to the individual what is happening. Gives assurance one is in good moral standing.
Causes things to happen to the body. The person has a strong desire for virtue.
You must give yourself over completely to the spiritual life.
Prayer of quiet: subordinate to reason. Tranquil and the will is captivated by God. Other faculties remain free.
Allumitive stage: knowledge that God passes on to a person through a different mode.
God strips you of the way you think. You judge so God removes your judgement. This way you can contemplate the beatific vision.
Touches by God, flights of Spirit, pain of loss .. burning pain of love .. wounds of love..
Full in union? Couldn’t hear him.
A longing for death.. marked by ecstasy.. totally absorbed in God
    Excruciatingly painful..
no sense of awareness.. appears dead .. last stage of purgation
Transforming union .. aka mystical marriage.. gives their self to God wholly
    Perfect communication..
    permanent union and love
Ask Holy Ghost, Virgin of Sorrows and Guardian Angels what your predominant defect is.
Work on that defect and you’ll see other defects to work on.
Do mortifications, meditation, prayer life, attend mass, reconciliation
Pray for the love of God ALONE.
    🔥✝️😍✝️🔥
    God knows our limits!!!
    Pray PRAY PRAAAAY
    IGNORE SATAN
    IGNORE SATAN
    IGNORE SATAN
Jesus of Nazareth please give me strength 🔥✝️🔥✝️🔥
Jesus of Nazareth we beseech You into our minds, bodies, souls and strength so we can love You fully!

I usually go to mass an hour early, but it never fails that the people around me find that time to talk, and not whisper. It is extremely distracting; I’ve even gotten to where I bring my earphones and put those in and listen to a rosary but it’s hard not to get frustrated and ignore it. But I’m working on it.

St Teresa of Avila's book Interior Castle describes: Human effort with grace can effect the following: 1. vocal prayer; 2. meditation (active recollection); 3. prayer of recollection (passive recollection). After these, only God's grace can effect the following Contemplative stages in the soul: 4. Prayer of Quiet; 5. Prayer of Simple Union; 6. Prayer of Union: Mystical Engagement/Betrothal, and 7. Prayer of Union: Mystical Marriage (transforming union).

    my notes:
When you get on the dark night of the senses you need to see a spiritual director.
There's a way that God can communicate with us without going through the intellect.
In the prayer of the quiet only the will is captivated.
    Lack of distractions
certitude of being united with God
    no anxiety
    Mystical touches
    Wounds of love
    ------------------
    Conformative union
Captivates the external senses with the soul is completely divinized, the person external activities become hard
there comes a longing for dead
    Pain of loss, Ectasy
All the faculties are captivated in this soul
In this stage it seems like the soul is no longer in the body, the body is losing is natural warm
It is not harmful to health, the opposite.
this is the last stage of passive purgation after this the person will obtain the union with God
    ------------------------
    Transforming union or mystical union
God and the soul give to each other. This level of prayer is permanent.
Perfect communication and mutual give of self.
    Permancy of union and love.
    Forgetful of self
    Delight in persecution
    Desire to suffer
Perfect Detachment from everything that is created
    Abstinence of ectasy
At this stage no longer suffer the pain of loss, we want to stay in this life as long as God want us to
The three pillars of the spiritual life
    1. Spiritual Reading: to actually know what you're doing
    2. Prayer: Need to develop a habit of prayer to ascend in the spiritual life

    3. Root out your defects: Ask the Holy Ghost, Guardian Angel, need to get rid of our imperfections
Usually when we start rooting out our defects we get rid first of the ones that are obvious, but then we need to root out
the defects that are in our interior life, so for that we need to pray to the Holy Ghost and our Guardian Angel to illuminate
    these interior defects, motivations, etc.
    ----
Do not get attached to spiritual consolations they're a means not the end(God)
The ways of mental prayer: Get this book to know How to do mental prayer by Vitalis Lehodey O.C.R

Noble goal. However, the Holy Mass is superior to the rosary. Focus on the Mass during Mass, and on the Rosary either before or after Mass.

The Rosary was prayed at Mass by many well before the Vatican II changes. Note link here and references within.

    • @TheEuphrosyne1216
      @TheEuphrosyne1216 4 года назад +11

@@jd8658 I believe people made use of private devotions such as praying the Rosary and novenas during the celebration of Holy Mass because they didn't understand the Latin in which the Mass was being celebrated, nor did they have a missal which allowed them to follow the English translation of the Latin liturgy. And so they were more or less lost during the liturgy, and the Rosary and other prayers were an excellent means for them to offer some form of prayer to God during a Mass they couldn't hope to understand.
We understand perfectly well what's transpiring even during a Novus Ordo Mass, as do the holy angels who gather around the altar during the Consecration, and if by our contempt of the form of the Mass we don't happen to like, we give the angels reason to cast glances of rebuke in our direction - well, when I think of such a thing, I conclude that a hole might as well open beneath me and swallow me up into Hell.
Novus Ordo or not, badly prayed or well, with lousy music or good, the Sacrifice of Jesus is being re-presented on the altar, and even our complaints, grimaces, and whinging about the outer trappings can't change that.
In the meantime, I hope that any bishops or cardinals or pastors who support the Novus Ordo over the Latin Tridentine Mass will either change their minds or that they will soon be called by God to their eternal reward (they can only hope), and be replaced by sound, solid men who will restore and promote the true form of the Mass.

    • @gray_mara
      @gray_mara 3 года назад +10

The rosary is one of the greatest devotions in the Church, but the holy Sacrifice of the Mass is greatest. By refusing to pay attention at holy Mass, you are refusing to pay attention to God, you are being disobedient and arrogant. Don't you think Our Lady would be offended if someone paid attention to her when her Son was being literally re-presented on an altar? People used to pray the Rosary at Holy Mass because they didn't understand or didn't have a Missal. You have no such excuse. Repent of your wilful inattention before the Holy Eucharist, and humble yourself.
The N.O is not ideal. We all know that. But it is still the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. By paying attention, you are showing humility and obedience and paying your first duty to God. Why would you skip the opportunity to grow in these virtues, which are the basis of a spiritual life?

St Therese was a Carmelite. This is from a Carmelite writing, by St Teresa of Avila, from whom St Therese took her name. St Therese would have learned this in the novitiate and as Novice Mistress, taught this to her novices. She was so much of an expert in this that she taught it. Spiritual childhood is not the same as deliberate ignorance.

Please do a talk about Pre adamits please I have my parish priest say to me, that we didn't come from them and Adam and Eve. That they are not our first parents! please I beg you give me the true trenching of the church on this matter so I can fight this. I have looked all over the net and it's all a bunch over the top fake and false information, I'm just wasting my time I know you guys are true Catholics and truly wish for all our souls to be saved as do I, but this is something I can't get my head around please help me... please don't leave me alone to fight this false teaching on my own...

There are no levels of prayer.
Prayer is communicating with the father through
    HIS SON.
    This is why HE died
    On the cross!
    When JESUS said,
    “IT IS FINISHED,”
    The temple veil was
    Torn from the top down
    To the bottom signifying
    That GOD could now be
    Reached through prayer
    By HIS children once
    Again.
