Dr. Ernesto Morales - Improving Rehabilitation Through Design Research

On January 12, 2017, Dr. Ernesto Morales from the University of Laval presented at the British Columbia Institute of Technology the talk "I wake up, use the toilet and go shopping: improving rehabilitation through design research." Dr. Morales takes the audience through five different research projects, starting with the intimacy of sexuality of people with disabilities, to using the toilet, going outside, circulating in streets covered with snow, and shopping.
Dr. Morales has a background in architecture and rehabilitative design. He studies design solutions capable of offering easier, safer and more comfortable environments for persons with disabilities in domestic, urban and rural environments.
