As a about to be newbie (1 more week) it is refreshing to watch a live dig video. While I already know it will be just like your experience today, 99% trash, you are right, most youtubers cut out and skip to the exciting parts giving a false impression. Keep on digging. Thanks for the video :)
You just never know!! Sometimes beginners luck comes into play, I remember when I first got my Garrett ace 200 last year I was hunting around in my front yard.. you know digging everything the usual coins and aluminum foil...pull tabs... then out of the blue... BAM a 10k gold ring pops out of the ground!! My family has lived at this place for around 20 years and it was none of ours... so it was likely dropped by the previous owners and we had been walking over it that entire time.. you just never know what is under the ground until you investigate 👍👍 Stay optimistic out there and have FUN!!
Nice video! Love the live dig. Doesn’t give a false impression like some others. I also appreciate your care with putting the plugs back. Much respect!
Greetings from Rochester NY. Great video. I like the “live” videos. It’s way more realistic. I also like the fact that you show the VDI numbers and we can hear the tones. Any tips that you can share are always be helpful to someone watching. Happy Hunting Bob.
Love this content, I just got the garret ace apex and its a awesome metaldetector. Its rainy here now so no metal detecting for me but now i can watch your hunting on youtube. Awsome stuff keep it going!
Nice hunt, TO. I was out today with an Apex and went to an old homesite that I have hit with various detectors over the last 30 yrs. and dug low tones. I was sure I’d hear no coin tones. Out popped a 1970 nickel. Gotta dig those low tones. Keep Digging!
I agree with Shawn below. I just returned to the hobby after several years/decades and it helps to see it all and of course learn. Enjoy your videos that I have viewed so far and intend to follow them. Thanks
I appreciate that Wayne, it's nice for me to hear that I know the "show it all" videos aren't for everyone but I am glad it can offer a little bit of help, I was right there with you when I first got into the hobby I enjoy watching the full hunt sometimes trash and all. Thank you for stopping by!
I like this man, real time and all is what I've been looking for that way you get an actual legit idea of the detector and how it's reading. Good job dude.
Much prefer the live dig style. A lot people new to the hobby get the wrong impression of detecting when they only see "look what I found" every frame. Most people like to see the process from start to finish.
Sentimo is actually Centavo in filipino.. We adopted Sentimo when Spanish was integrated into the language in reference to the Euro but in reference to US dollars it was Pesos and Centavos when I was a kid back in Clark Airbase philippines.. Fun times Sooooo long ago! Fresh coconuts from our trees every day when we would play in the front yard..
Cool man! Always neat to find different coins for sure, found a few canadians and a denmark coin? It's always nice when you think it's gonna be something and then it surprises you.. for me that is one of the best feeling of detecting. 👍 wish I was a little more tropical I would love to grow a coco palm but it gets a bit too cold where I am in FL. I "push the zone" when it comes to bananas and tropicals because we do get a frost here every year.. but it's worth it!
Awesome Video man! This style is def my fav type. Just got a new apex with the Raider coil and super excited to go try her out! One question for you, what kind of magnifying loop tool is that your using? Seems nice! So many options out there I want to find one with good quality lens and optics. Appreciate any help!
Great video. I like that you didn't edit out the actual hunting part. I am currently using a Garrett AT Pro that someone lent me, and I am looking to purchase an Apex as my first metal detector. My only hesitation is the built-in battery. On a typical day of continuous use, approximately how long does a fully-charged battery last for you? Also, that's an awesome magnifying glass!
Thank you!! I'm going to be completely honest with you I don't use my apex a whole lot but I think it claims to have something like a 15 hour battery life before needing to recharge. Metal detecting is really a super fun hobby, I would get whatever machine you are drawn to there are so many out there on the market I think it ends up coming down to preference. 👍 If you haven't already I would at least look into some other options just to compare the differences and see which one you like best!
Sweat drop @ 15.28 lol. Dude it was soo hot and humid here in Sc yesterday we only detected for 2 hours 15 minutes. Me and my son combined 208 targets, 7.87 in clad. I love detecting!
Hard for me to say, they are both good machines! Probably comes down to preference, the apex works really good at the beach but sometimes when there is a lot of trash at parks near good stuff the apex struggles but you can get a smaller coil for it that will help. I like 'em both! Glad to have both of them :)
i know this video is 2 years ago i recently bought me the apex with raider coil and free pinpointer after using a 60 euro analog machine first day out at the end at a play ground 18k gold ring bam and 2 coins day 2 2 coins and lots of trash the live digs are what i find more enjoyable and always love to see an apex on the hunt it's a fine machine does it well for me but i did got the virus now that nokta makro simplex ultra looks good to for a 2nd machine waterproof up to 5 meters beach time sounds more appealing right now 😂 dam that mental detector virus hits hard 😂🤣🙏🏻👍🏻🇱🇺
LOL hey I can say what I want but it's the actual footage that speaks for itself! I privated it for now because it was getting a lot of dislikes with no criticism below, personally I felt that video was sub-par and could have been made better (I was considering not posting it to begin with) so I decided to list it private and I'll likely remake it in the future but make it better 👍
@@TreasureOutdoors 10-4 I liked the video and effort put into it. But I do understand. Keep at it. Sitting here looking at my detectors wishing I could put the best of each detector into one machine. Solve all these problems with one machine. I don't know why someone hasn't pulled this off. The technology is there to do this. Target separation of the nox. Ability choose different modes the nox. Adjustability in the recovery speed of the nox. Water proof of the nox. Frequency shift of the Apex. The comfort of the Apex. Z link system of Garrett. Pulse induction mode. Pin pointing that actually works. And the Holy Grail of metal detecting, build a detector that could eliminate the pull tap. Lol A detector that would do what it is marketed to do. A super detector! I would pay $1500 for a detector like this. I started detecting in 1983, we have come along way since then for sure. We land probes on asteroids in our solar system so think it could be done. Oh well, swing what you got and keep digging. Beep Beep Beep
I’ve had my Apex over 2 years now and the charge port is holding up very well! The trick is to plug it in slowly and deliberately. Don’t fumble in the dark or low light with the cord. Then gently unplug. Don’t yank the cord out. Also, while plugged in, place the detector in an upright position. I lean mine against the wall. This way the cord doesn’t get knocked around. Hope this helps!

Thanks a bunch derek!
Enjoy the live shoot. It is natural and keeps me motivated to dig those low tones.

love finding Foreign coins..I will watch any metal detecting video you put out. Keep up the Digging and Happy Hunting

Lovin the walk along style and digging everything 👍🏻

Do you happen to know what number 10 ct gold will ring up on vanquish?

What happened to the separation test video with the Simplex, vanquish and Alex? Garret legal team send you a nasty gram?

How's the charging port holding up after 1 year ?
Going to be honest haven't been using the Apex too much lately.. for little use it's holding up well but not a real test of it's strength.

Dude your camera Quality is awesome, what model are you using?
thanks! I was using the Gopro Hero 7 black on this one
i like the style very much
I'm gonna rent me a backhoe and uproot that tree. I want the gold, give me the gold. I want the gold!!
