222.222 DOMINOES - DDT 2018 - WILDLIFE

- After a full year of preparations and more than a week of editing, we can finally show you the falldown of 222.222 dominoes! Enjoy a combination of worldwide wildlife in the longest falldown we’ve ever created! We tried to make as many combined projects as possible this year, like the entire subproject of Europe, for instance. We start our journey with Australia and North America and after a full trip around the world we end up in Africa.
The most outstanding aspect of this year's project is the map. When the wildlife of a continent is ready to be toppled, the project first topples that specific continent in a huge map in the centre of the project. This took some serious planning! You can imagine we were extremely happy when it all worked out the way we planned! And of course the new record we set made this year of DDT the best one yet!

Probably the best domino event ever. I loved how the spider, the ostrich and the monkeys moved! All those fields were huge with amazing design! There were a lot of 3 dimensional structures. I also liked the turtle field and those mini-fallwalls were really satisfying. I can see how much work went into this and it totally paid off. This was honestly better than ISM.
Thanks a lot Taikamuna! Regarding special techniques, Australia was one of the best projects we ever made. And this is what we want to become our standard, more decoration which contains or topples dominoes. Once again thank you for your kind words!

This has got to be my favorite domino event ever, and I mean that completely seriously. I loved every single moment of this, and I can tell the amount of thought and creativity that went into this, particularly with the world map centerpiece. My favorite segment would have to be South America, that giant tree with the snake was spectacular. Congratulations on shattering your existing record, and for putting on such an entertaining event. This is definitely the gold standard for how domino events should look.

Congratulations! I think you're the best dominogroup at present, you surpass other dominogroups with much more dominoes because you risk with the domino projects, because you integrate decoration with dominoes, tricks, and are not easy domino projects that only have fields. Continue like this, guys!

Thanks a lot Anno! Both the structures at the ostrich and the kangooroo have been built at least 2 times! The kangooroo even fell once overnight. We are very happy the way they fell!
That was really well done, I love that you guys put in the effort and creativity of making a huge variety of intricate designs rather than just fields... many of the effects were really amazing and I think this is one of the best events yet. Incredible job!

I really like the concept of the main line always coming back to the map to topple the next continent.
My favorite projects were the beautiful peacock at 7:04, the snake at 11:02, the crocodile at 12:21 and the Big Five at the end. The field design for all the animals in general was great this year!

Each year your designs and execution gets better and better...LOVED Niagara Falls in the North American section. Loved the giant panda in the Asian section. Truly amazing and mesmerizing...How can a civilian be there in person to witness the fall down? I am putting that on my bucket list and would love to mark it off one day...

Didn't catch on that only Australia fell for a reason until it came back to it! That was a nice way to tie each section together.
I'm sarcastically dissapointed the turtle field wasn't a turtle field.
Avoided watching until now because it was 17min, but was well worth the 17min.
Questions:
How come the rain didn't fall?
Is the blue spiral just a watering hole or does that represent something else?
Thanks so much for your comment! hahaha We did consider making the turtle field a turtle field, but the technique was a little bit too risky to have it stand there for a week ;)
The rain didn't fall because the blocks that were supposed to trigger the rain (underneath the wooden structure) didn't have enough momentum to pull out the dominoes that were up there. The strings should've been just a little bit longer.
The blue spiral was indeed a watering hole where all the animals could have a sip of refreshing mountain water ;)

Congratulations, very nicely done. I loved how the route always came back to the worldmap to show which continent was next. next year over 250k domino's ;)
Would be awesome! If the opportunity occurs, we want to break the 300k limit next year! But of course, that depends on a lot of factors. But we can always dream! Thanks for your kind words!
