The Rolf Hyalites have been on my CoMotion Klatch since I built it four years ago. Our 3 year old tandem has a Rolf carbon set. My 7 year old road bike has a a set of Aries 4 carbon. No spoke problems! All are as true as the day I got them
Excellent review!! ..... I am saving money every month with a lot of sacrifice and patience to be able to buy my dream wheels: Rolf Prima Eos4 !!! ...... I really love this brand and its beautiful, innovative and particular designs!!
I remember when Bontrager did a similar spoke design. I can't remember how many rims I cracked at the rim eyelets. Logically, it doesn't make sense to put the stress spacing further apart on the rim and point load it in a small section of rim. I guess that's why when you want strong wheels, you go for more spokes and/Or heavier rim. Just my 2 cents.
Just a quick heads up. At 3:47 you're using the calipers incorrectly. All calipers have a little gap at the top to clear any lips or burrs on what you're measuring. You can see this gap with the calipers fully closed. That will easily make up for the difference in your measurement and the specs. Otherwise, thanks for another great review!!
Oh man...Rolfs have been on the radar for a minute now, just nervous about the paired spoke design. What carbon rims are in the same price range? Love the orange shoes, btw!
You could always opt for their Astral Wanderlust wheels. Which is still made by Rolf Prima, just with normal spoke design. Probably some of the best alloy wheels I have ever owned
No online pity parties around here for the boo boo's! But thank you to the dog, the Adidas sunnies, and of course, the pool... which I do float in from time to time. Aaah.

Nice! And a tandem, that is solid proof of longevity and strength.

That some bad scratches Jom. Hope you are healing fast.
Thanks! Mostly healed up, I recorded the intro and closing to this video a while ago.
@@GravelCyclist You're a tough Aussie!
@@mancello Thanks mate, just a few flesh wounds.
@@GravelCyclist the scratch in the knuckles look bad ass. Just tell people you beat 3 guys in the same time 😂
It a premium aluminum rim with a really nice White Industry hub internals and Ti free hub body. I think it’s a great deal!
It is a great deal, I have to be as objective as possible. Some people won't agree, you know how it goes.
Yup..exactly. i own the Astral Wanderlusts. Best alloy wheelset I have ever ridden

Bontrager and Rolf (as in Dietrich, the original founder) had some kind of licensing agreement for the technology.
I've three sets of Rolf's with zero problems. I suppose I'll have a fourth set one day.

Appreciate the feedback, I periodically screw up! :)

Check out the Roval Terra C wheelset I just reviewed. Another is the Zipp 303 S. Both are on my channel.
As for the shoes, thanks! A shame they no longer produce them :(
@@GravelCyclist Just watched the Roval review and will look for the Zipp 303 review. Thanks!

@@kellrockets101 Thanks! Although sold out, one more wheelset to consider over the winter.
What's the weight limit?
I don't know, Rolf Prima has not published those figures, unless I missed it.
What about the extras: the dog the boo boo on the knee the sunnies and of course THE POOL 😆

@@GravelCyclist gravel cyclist you are one of a kind.
Please don’t take this the wrong way, but was this a review or an advert for Rolf?
No, unless it was a paid promotion, which it wasn't, it was a review of the Hyalite 25 wheelset. I outlined positives and the new negatives.
