how to modify VU meter to audio WATT meter for your own tube or solid state amplifiers

Very informative. I assume you are using a sine wave to calibrate to power at 16 watts. If we don't have you fancy power meter using an oscilloscope or voltmeter can also help the calibration set points.

I wanted to add the same to an amp of mine. A way to print the scale in watts rather than show VU would be awesome. What is that board where you calibrate it? Did you make it?
