Unfortunately like I said I can't test this stick to see if it is durable and how long it will last. So if you own one and have experiences with it please leave a comment and let others and myself know! I also posted this on Reddit, so check out there in case people share their feedback there as well! www.reddit.com/r/hockeyplayers/comments/ui7svo/impressively_light_true_catalyst_px_hockey_stick/?
Durability wise it broke after two weeks for me where the blade meets the shaft similar to the reviews on pure hockey. Trues newer sticks haven't quite had the durability down but they do feel good my brother had a catalyst 9x3 then newer line and blade cracked after a few skates.
I didn't care for the 9x and sold it to a teammate. My two big issues with the Catalyst were the shaft shape and the weight. The 9x felt blade heavy when handling and shooting, and I suspect this is only worsened with the PX. The blade is dampened, which is fine if you like that feeling, but it doesn't match the weight of the shaft. Puck handling felt very awkward. The best way I can describe it is that the blade felt massive, and I was using a regular 88 pattern (non-max). If anything, the stick needs to be a bit heavier. I really liked the mid-kick SBP line from True, and this is a very different stick from those ones.
That is generally the consensus... but the hope is when companies are going lighter they can keep the same durability as the previous top end versions.
broke 2 9x’s ina month. it’s horrendus. I don’t expect much , but i need a few months. I don’t even do too much. haven’t broken a hyperlite or ribcore ever . but these man.

I'm glad sticks now cost 400 dollars because when I'm mad that I suck I'll be even more mad that I broke my 400 dollar stick...Because I suck!
Just wait until you see the prices of the new gear this year 😱
@@HockeyReviews I can live with the prices of gear because I'll get a few seasons out of it but when I'm breaking 3 sticks a season, it sucks!

Lighter does not always equal more durable!
From my personal experience, it’s actually quite the contrary (sadly).
That is generally the consensus... but the hope is when companies are going lighter they can keep the same durability as the previous top end versions.
Hey matt iihf 2022 will you sporting team
I haven't followed it at all this year unfortunately. Always route for not-Canada/US/Russia though 😂

@@Alex-pn5bk same thing for me sticks insane but breaks you should get the Hzrdus it’s so much better
I know no one who actually plays with the plug in the end of their still. Just annoying and always falls out.
If it falls out you just wrap the inside with 2 layers of tape and it stays. Have only had issues with it falling out with my Sling though.
@@HockeyReviews or just play without it from the get go. Makes it lighter and I feel like I get less vibration when it’s out.
I'll keep it in so someone doesn't accidently get impaled
Just glue it in after cutting
