I've never heard this song before, but it's fantastic. Tim's voice is so beautiful and Maggie sounds wonderful too. The harmonies are just phenomenal. I love these guys. Thanks so much for your great reaction!
This is a song that Dolly Parton wrote for her movie Joyful Noise, and she sang with Jeremy Jordan and Kris Kristofferson in the movie. It is definitely worth a listen to Dolly's original and she and Willie Nelson teamed up on it a couple years later too. It's truly one of Dolly's most beautiful songs.
What a beautiful song. Home Free did a great rendition. This one gets me in the feels. Nice to be introduced to another country talent in Maggie Baugh. She has a really nice voice & enjoy her playing the violin/fiddle. The guys are great about sharing the spotlight with other artists. Dolly Parton originally recorded & performed this song with Kris Kristofferson in the 2012 movie "Joyful Noise". The following year, she re-recorded the tune with Willie Nelson.
💖💖💖💖💖💖 What great reaction! This is really beautiful and sweet!! Home Free and Maggi Baugh what a great combination. So wonderfull!! What I find so beautiful is when you have your headphones on, you recognize all the great voices separately, even though they sing in such awesome harmony. Really beautiful lead, but also the amazing background vocal which gives it such a feel-good feeling. Each voice gives a certain value to the song. The vocal percussion is so good, not to mention the violin playing. 💕 Everything is perfect. 🥰 The video reminds me of my oldest child/daughter. She also had a stuffed animal from birth. Now she's 33 and she still has that stuffed animal. Those memories brought me a tear when I heard this song. How time flies when I look at my four children. All four grown up. My loves whom I love so much. From here to the moon and back! ❤❤❤❤
You need to check out their “Can’t Stop the Feeling” and pay close attention to the “just imagine” build up to the chorus for a small surprise. And for another woman singing with them, check out “Meant to Be.”
A very beautiful song, and a really sweet and tender video! Loved Tim’s breathinginess on “much” at the beginning. It took my breath away a little. The guys, and Maggie, outdid themselves on this one, especially. It’s very well assembled, arranged, and performed! Austin’s high notes didn’t surprise me, in a sense, but it was a brilliant delivery! I absolutely love everything about this song and video! Maggie is a great addition here, and I hope they collaborate again in the future! Loved your reaction and review! I come here because I love the way you react, analyze, and entertain us. I’m not worried about backgrounds, and such.
Having watched the original video, when you apologized for the lack of green screen, I couldn't help thinking: "Nah, you're good. 'Snuggled up in bed' is the perfect vibe for this one." 🌔🧸
You are so fun to listen to! I love your reactions, but am partial to your Home Free ones so thank you! I hope things go more smoothly for you in regards to your move. Lovely song!
Just started the video but I had to comment this before I forget: it’s great to see you feeling better, which I’m sure has just a little something to do with your wife (edit: And Ella! Yay!) being there with you now :) I hope things are beginning to work out better for all of you :)
Early comment gang! I somehow missed that Home Free had a new song come out - thank you for sharing! And yes that’s Austin’s vocals where he sings the highest voice in mix is craziness! (Around 12 mins in)
Thank you for reacting! We love you no matter how you come to us! I really appreciate everything you do for us! Such a beautiful song. the, performance was spectacular and the video is amazing!
Originally by Dolly Parton and Kris Kristofferson The video is beautifully shot and I love how the young girl at the start is the mother at the end passing her teddy onto the next generation :D
The first time I saw it, the way she closed that box gave me the feeling she was the girl’s mom collecting memories after the girl had died or something. I was so glad to be wrong about that!
I hope that you move is going better. Moves are always so difficult. Also, I think you would enjoy the older Home Free song Women, Amen x Female. The backings are really complex on that song, whereas In the Blood has such a simple backing. I would love to see your reaction to either (or both) of these.
The girls name is Maggie Baugh who is going on tour with them. The song was written for a movie Joyful Noise by Dolly Parton. In the movie Dolly sings it with her grandson played by Jeremy Jordan. Then it goes into her and her husband Kris Kristofferson. They did a fantastic version of the song. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
That song is amazing, ty for recording even when you are in the midst of a move. Hope you will be in your new place soon ♥ you light up every room, home, motel, hotel, toilet it doesn't matter! Love to you and your wife and doggie from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Maggie Baugh an up and coming talent will join Home Free on the upcoming tour kudos to the entire production team for this beautiful arrangement and video of this Dolly Parton cover. One can hope Dolly learns of this and wants to collaborate.
Wasn’t that sweet?! Such a sweet song, done so well by the boys and Maggie Baugh. Loved the moon, the video and the violin. Those harmonies were incredible. Can’t get much prettier than that one. Good reaction Mortius. 😄 And yeah, Austin was higher than Maggie. Haha.
Mortuis dear, I really love your reactions, you're one of my favorite reactors. I love that you do a lot of HF, I'm a huge Home Fry. I understand you love VP and I love your reactions even though I don't always like their arrangements. The thing is, I don't understand why you ignore Avi Kaplan, his music is magical and it disappoints me that you don't put him in your lineup. But love ya and glad things are getting better.
If you've got song recommendation, we could probably throw one in there, but we usually do the ones that a lot of people ask for at the time. (this one, for example, had a ton of people asking for in the Discord server, and I don't ever really see requests for Avi Kaplan sadly) Occasionally we do throw a random one in there for fun though :) Do you have a specific song you'd like? I could send it to Mortius and ask if he could put it in his song bank, but no promises because content is a little tight right now, but at the very least we could do it in the future. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@MagicMason1000 Most reactors start with Change on the Rise but to really experience Avii at his very best try All is Well, solo 7 layer session, just Avi and his guitar in a church with beautiful acoustics
This is such a chill beautiful song.. I still have my stuffed tiger from when I was a kid, Toni the tiger from a Sambo restaurant lol. Maggie Baugh, the featured artist is incredible, not only with her singing but her violin playing too.
I know Austin sings really high, but as a contralto a bit lower than Rob, I'm so used to male voices singing higher (in comparison) that I never even question that
08:25 . . . "and who is doing that . . . ?" Listen to "Listen To The Music!" - Adam Rupp is doing that - Loopmachine ya know? Yeah, and at 11:14 that is also Adam Rupp. They can easily even pull that off live.
I really hope that this song gets plenty of air play. And I'm sure Dolly wouldn't mind it either...not that she needs the money, but she always donates to very worthwhile charities and she might just let Home Free choose their own favorite charities to honor.
Mortius…on Friday, they released …”LISTEN TO THE MUSIC”….the Doobie Brothers cover of 1972…which was a big hit then…&, they really made one Feel Good one ‼️….Adam isn’t just a Beat Boxer…He’s a BEAT MASTER ‼️❤️‼️💥🔥. Of course you’ll be IMPRESSED ❤️‼️❤️
SO I haven't been paying much attention to Home Free since I discovered VP. Thank you for reminding me that they are amazing. This song is fantastic. I would have never listened to it on my own, Now I'm gonna go watch it a bunch more times. Thanks for reacting to it.
Hey Mortius! Christmas in summer is around the corner! Why don't you try Snowglobe by Home Free for the occasion? I'm looking for the day you'll react to this one! 😉
I don't know if you have reacted to Voiceplay's version of I can't help falling in love? Mortius, you HAVE to react to this one. The backgrounds are going to break you as they are insanely good
Its just honest curiosity, and not something i have to know. But with not being on your Patreon, I do not know if you can give me a brief summary of what went wrong with the move
Basically, short version: - my wife and I moved to a new state because we both got exciting new jobs - the housing market is a nightmare right now and we keep getting outbid on houses (buying our house was plan A) - knowing that plan A may not happen, we had an apartment lined up as a plan B, but it ended up not working out in some really dumb and shockingly expensive ways which is what landed us in the motel until July 15th when is when we move into a different apartment we found, while continuing to attempt to house hunt
I always love your reactions, but it's hard for me to like this particular song. We lost our teenage daughter after a six-year battle with childhood cancer, so there will never be a grandchild to give her constant companion teddy-bear to. This song makes me cry, and I'll be avoiding it. Please excuse me while I go look for "Can't Stop the Feeling".
Mortise, I am sorry to hear that you’re having difficulties. I would like to send you some funds directly. Please let me know how I can get the funds to you directly. I can Zelle you the funds to your bank account using your phone number if you have Zelle access. Otherwise let me know another way. Best, Pam
I appreciate that a lot! Currently the best way is through the following link, as it’s the best platform that doesn’t share your personal information with donors www.buymeacoffee.com/officialmortius
I think I might have brain damage...
Using your desk to facepalm multiple times will do that! 😂

Thank you for finding that for me. I just visited my first grandson for the first time and that expresses so much of what I feel.
I’m going to teach this song to my granddaughter. It’s perfect.

Home Free takes another awesome song & with the help of Maggie Baugh elevates it to heavenly perfection
Another great reaction to Another Home Free hit! I love how quiet and gentle the delivery of this is done.
Having watched the original video, when you apologized for the lack of green screen, I couldn't help thinking: "Nah, you're good. 'Snuggled up in bed' is the perfect vibe for this one." 🌔🧸

Omg the Ella cameo at the end😂😍
Maggie Baugh is going on your with them this summer. I have tickets to their Richmond show and hopefully they will do this song.
If you like when they work with female artist you should check out Tennessee Christmas with Rachel Wammack. It is one of my favorites.
That´s also one where they [ Rachel ] uses a violin

I love the slow waltz rhythm of this lullaby.

Honestly Mason adding that in at 3:20 turned the focus away from the corny word play and onto the hilarity that was him using his desk to facepalm
This one is just so sweet and soothing.
loved your reaction hope things will be better for you soon ❤️🏴
Your reactions are my favourite on youtube.
She is the best…
Home free feels good.
Thank you ^_^

Not to badmouth green screens but that wooden panel in the background is way prettier than any green screen could wish to be!
Molly Braun will be on tour with them. Think the high is Austin.
This would be a wonderful wedding waltz. I love this ❤️
I love your reactions. Hang in there. You'll be settled before you know it. Aww and Ella's awake this time.

I love your reactions. I’ve watched this one twice.
Great reaction! Good luck with the move. Hope everything turns out for the best!
Your reactions to this are fun to watch. And you made me laugh out loud a couple times -- especially when she started playing the violin!
And here you have the perfect "lullaby"
This song was written by Dolly Parton. The female artist is country singer Maggie Baugh.
I'm subscribing as I LOVE your analysis and am hoping that you will do my favorite Home Free, I Can't Outrun You. Chance's masterpiece.
IN THE BLOOD is one I think you might LOVE. I sure do, one of their very best 👌
I've never been able to see HF in concert but my hubby surprised me with tickets to see all 6 of them in September. I am SO excited❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️

They posted on Facebook that the song is a Dolly Parton song.
I know you were worried about the filming quality but the dark brown background warms up your complexion and compliments it.
Absolute FIRE !!!!
Austin’s fabulous to me too 🥰
You aren't the only one who thought that Adam had created a new vocal percussion. Maggie is going to be a great opening act for the boys.

This is such a beautiful song, but for me it's sad because of personal reasons. Home Free always does such a great job and Maggie has a lovely voice.
You didnt say a word about the Drummer. But if given enough motovation im sure the Drummer could reproduce a Violin given time.
I like Spoicy!
Thanks
