Interesting =) I've practised Abada Capoeira for about 5 years now.. so I've seen a lot of different styles and acrobatic moves.. but some of these are quite new to me. Especially the one where they stand on the lower arm/elbow and bend their back and legs forward. Standing still in that position must be extremely exhausting.. very admirable ^^ I especially liked Professor Renato, smooth and controlled acrobatics. Come visit Abada Capoeira Sweden if you're traveling around here some day =)
to explain to people who arent familiar with capoeira, capoeira is a huuge martial art literally. there is so much to learn including acrobatics like the ones in this video, fakes, dodges, tons of strikes, flow, music, stamina, speed.... and more than i can list lol!
And there are some types of capoeira with no cords at all. This is especially true in Capoeira Angola. Such beautiful movement, balance and strength in this video!

these techniques and "hollow back" positions are used in breakdancing as well. it's very interesting how capoeira, a beautiful art in it's own realm, has bled into other modern art forms. good inspiration.

Basically our training has three steps, warming, stretching and fight movements. Some classes are dedicated to acrobatics and the kids use to love those classes.
Absolutely, its never too late! Well, an old man can't, but you are 22 years. The progression might be a bit slower, but your body fastly learns how to adapt, and capoeira does everything to easily get your body used to such exertions ! Trust me, no capoeira instructor will force you or your body to unnatural things. The principal is :step by step. Learn how to know your body and train the sections you need for that, but slowly, youve got time! :D Good luck, just try it out!
i know right! dammn...i started at 17..well 4months ago lol..im 18 now..i signed up for 1 year contract..love capoeira and i really love the rodas in my class.
I just can not believe how flexible they are, how agile... all of them! Is there a lot of focus on flexibility in your trainings? I must admit I'm more than a little jealous =) I've done capoeira for about half a year but had to quit due to injuries. didn't do anything for another half year and then tried to start again but right away the injuries were troubling me again. It's a real pitty because I liked it a lot aswel as the spirit of the participants.
@powertubemoves Most of them. Pequeninho e Marquinhos are teachers and Renato and Estênio are masters. Hudson is training Olympic Gymnastic and Rafael is in the 4th graduation.

I'm starting my first lesson tomorrow... I'm 27 and I hope I'll be able to do a routine half as good as that in a couple of years with regular training... I'm in good enough shape now but i deffinetly have to work on flexibility.
Don't give up. If I have started to pratice when I was young, maybe I would be good as those kids, but I have no complains, because everybody can pratice capoeira.
The music in this video is very interesting. The beat, the way the lyrics are sung...sounds very similar to Ghanian folk songs. It'd be exactly the same if it were in the same language infact! As for the dance I like it!

I don't think capoeira can really help in a fight, but it is a beautiful artform. I thik it is the most beautiful martial art style in terms of technicality and aesthetic.
