    As studio recordings go, “Heart Shaped Box” and “In Bloom” should be the next outing.
    If you check out the MTV Unplugged special “Where Did You Sleep Last Night?” is FAR and AWAY #1 on the To Do list, followed closely by “Lake of Fire”, “All Apologies” and “The Man Who Sold The World”. “Pennyroyal Tea” is one worth checking out that flies under the radar too. 😉👍🏻

    You've done three Nirvana songs, all off of their breakout album, Nevermind. They had one other hit off that album, "In Bloom". From their follow up, In Utero, they had "Heart Shaped Box", "All Apologies", and "About a Girl". An amazing song was released in 2002 called "You Know You're Right", eight years after Kurt Cobain's death. Of course, you already know drummer Dave Grohl formed Foo Fighters, and they were inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year. "All My Life", "Monkey Wrench", "Everlong", "Learn to Fly", are just a few of the Foo's best songs.

    Butch Vig, who was the engineer on this album (Nevermind) has said that Kurt was a big Beatles fan and loved melodies. You can hear that in songs like this. Their sound was so radio friendly because of the melodies. And yet they were so heavy they kicked the door down and took no prisoners when it came to rock music. Pretty much single handedly brought an end to "hair metal" and "glam rock" that permeated the late '80s.

    As many people have already pointed out, YES Dave Grohl the drummer in Nirvana is now and has been the Lead singer for the Foo Fighters. But what many don't know is that Dave was also the drummer for The Queens of The Stoneage, not only that but he's teamed up with the lead singer of QOTS and the amazing bassist John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin to form Them Crooked Vultures! I highly recommend that you check out Queens of the Stoneage and Them Crooked Vultures.

    And if this is only your 3rd Nirvana song. Definitely need to do more. Try some of their unplugged stuff. Dave Grohl is of course that drummer. He went on to form Foo Fighters. But Dave is definitely one of the best drummers period.

    There were times back in the day that I would put on Nirvana and feel really understood and then I could build myself back up from there. It's like it can just take a song to help you feel heard and then after feeling heard you can decide what you want to do after that.

    I live less then two hours from Nirvana's Hometown of Aberdeen Washington and about 20 minutes from Seattle. Nirvana were HUGE here in the 90s. If you drive into Aberdeen, the "welcome to Aberdeen" sign reads at the bottom "Come as you are". They also have a memorial Park in Kurt Cobain's name. I live in the same town Sir Mix-a-lot was born in.

    The famous "Nirvana Baby" on the cover of Nevermind, is now 30 and has sued the remaining band members of Nirvana many times for the usage of the cover, saying that it comes close to child abuse and child pornography, which is absurd since 1: Every single one of the over 30 million owners of the album, including myself, would be guilty of and sueable for owning and supporting child pornography;
    And 2: It could´t have bothered him that much, since it didn´t stop him from having spent 3 decades profiting of his cover fame by reenacting the photo and signing CDs against payment.

      He's looking for a big payday. The image would have been used with his parent's consent, so perhaps he needs to refocus and sue them. But he knows who has the deeper pockets, and it's unlikely his parents have the cash he's looking for.

    Hi Jay and Amber, I'm a musician who's much older than you two 😂since their start in 1987 I've been in bars, halls, hotels, etc. and heard Musicians and Non Musicians say differing opinions about how Kurt wrote. To Me, never writing a song before, I thought he was a GENIUS! If you can make the world go "DAMN THIS GROUP IS GOOD", and create a whole genre of music, GRUNGE 😎, and make flannel dress up wear, F YEAH. He was GREAT! Unfortunately the pressures of the record label, drugs and being famous and the drugs took him away from us 🙏

    High School days ! Child of the '80s that transitioned into grunge in the early '90s when I had my first Part Time job to afford buying music (CD's, cassette tapes). Went to so many concerts in these years.
    These reaction video's are making me revert back to the days when I would wear band t-shirts. Recently picked myself up Metallica and Led Zep shirt. Used to have a dozen of them 2 decades ago.
    Amber! I need that BB King shirt, girl! As the kids say these days. It's Fire 🔥
    EDIT: Agree with Jay. In this one, the Bass is the standout instrument. Although the guitar does have it's moment in the solo.

      Yup.
      Best time for music. Wouldn't trade it for any generation. I was a half generation removed from the likes of Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park. Bands of that nature. Though I did hear them on The Edge 102.1 here in Toronto.
      It was quite something to see when Nevermind was released and "Smells like Teen Spirit" was playing everywhere that hair bands (which I also like) seemingly disappeared.
