The behind the scenes CD from the original 2004 copy if i remember correctly. He said "who would have thought warcraft 1 would have turned to be like this 9 years ago" And since Warcraft 1 came out in 1994, you can guess the rest :) There's also the art part you can find here Art: ruclips.net/video/ZpD6mM1pEn4/видео.html Enviromental design: ruclips.net/video/dhe0nxBljcA/видео.html
Its from the "Behind-the-scenes" DVD that was included in the orginal Collectors Edition of the game, back in 2004 (US) / 2005 (EU). More info on the content of the CE here: wowwiki-archive.fandom.com/wiki/World_of_Warcraft_Collector%27s_Edition I'm pretty sure the rest of the content from the DVD is on youtube somewhere (:
At 3:04, I'm glad they didn't went for direct access from Elwyn to Burning Steppes. Hunt would have kitted monster from there up too the starting zone or others shenanigans.
this is actually painful to watch just knowing how completely everything of this was already destroyed with tbc - not to mention anything that came after.
I really think the game just kept evolving and getting better up until the launch of the Cataclysm expansion. Thats when they destroyed everything they created. Should have stopped with the end of wrath of the Lich king, thats when the story was done.
@@Kings_Crossing nerfing world elites, increasing the xp gains, shamans and paladins for both factions, 10 new levels that nullified the 60 raids and 60's end game content, two new rushed and badly designed races that didn't fit into the game, and the whole outlands as its design was terribly rushed because only thing that mattered was the end game. there were few improvements in tbc but overall it destroyed the whole azeroth with the mobile game quality changes it made to the game. with wotlk it was even worse - ICC, storm peaks and the death knight being the only things they paid any attention or effort and making everything else worse. i tried tbc again for a month when it was released and with that experience it's very easy to say i'm never going back to that game again. i played tbc originally when i was 15 and any positive memories about it was pure nostalgia. it didn't just suck - it actually started the ruination of the whole franchise.
@@ghoulunathics @ghoulunathics totally agree with most of what you said, gameplay wise. With my original comment I was thinking more about the Story, lore and world building peaking with Wrath of the Lich King. Gameplay and handling of content is a different story like you're saying. But the Warcraft story, atmosphere and world crafting up until the death of Arthas in WoW is fantasy perfection to me.
@@Kings_Crossing it's up to taste of course. i loved the arthas story too. i would certainly loved to see the vanilla storyline to progress nonetheless, and bosses like arthas and illidan would have been gladly welcome in it, i just disagree on how they did it. peace and good health to u m8!
Maybe they would have follow this mindset if WoW wasn't such a big success. Blizzard slowly tried to please everyone even before TBC. I remember an interview where they were explaining why there won't be "big dungeons" like BRD anymore etc...
When blizzard still have a heart
What is this from? Loved it
