Look #1 was absolutely stunning. I feel like the lippies should have been more aligned with the tones of the shadow palette. They should have kept one or two pinks, but added a bright orange, burnt orange and chocolate brown lippie would have been amazing. I would have bought those. I am glad you went ahead and changed lippies for look #2. You shouldn't feel the need to "tough it out". If you don't like a formula or colour, that's okay. All of the look you created are absolutely beautiful ♡♡♡

This is one of my favourites of the year, too! It’s also very sentimental to me in that it came out around Día de los Muertos and this year I was finally able to celebrate with my partner and his family in Mexico.
Melt did so good in sending this to you in PR, I see Melt and I'm like yeah that's nice but I won't buy it, this collection though... as a Mexican, this collection, especially the palette and the names in them touches a very soft spot in my heart that it's something I'd want to keep as a collection item
Yes!! I've been waiting for your review of this palette to know if I should pick it up or not. I have agreed with all your previous reviews on Melt's good and bad formulas, and $70 is a hefty price tag. I'm so happy this is their good formula. The looks you created with this palette are gorgeous!
Gooorgeous collection! The lipsticks are not for everyone. I'd probably only wear that bright purple tbh. I think only certain people can pull off such bright neon lipsticks. The matte reds plus the $70 price tag kept me from buying the palette. I can't keep collecting Melt reds no matter how badly I want to haha. I do badly want to try the December myster bundles though.. eeekk!
I don't like it when brands dupe themselves, and Melt has been duping themselves in the same palettes, lately. Shades so close that you can't differentiate between them, on the eyes. I just can't do it, especially at the price point. And Melt, at that price point, should at least be reliable quality, IMO. 🤷🏻♀️
@@Acidfunkish I agree. They are so hit and miss...some palettes have great reviews and others are horrible. I've been considering getting one of their palettes but there are great formulas for much cheaper. I do love some of the unique shades they have though.

@@anh7807 Oh their deep mattes are incomparable. Nothing I own can go as dark as my Melt mattes. And everytime I wear Melt shadows, I get asked about what I'm wearing. I own Gemini, Vida, Muerte, and Smoke Sessions.
I think the lipsticks are pretty but they aren't the colors I reach for..those pinks made me think of the song barbie girl. Im jealous of Angie's winged liner skills..😍
Melt is one of those brands I will cheer for on the sidelines. Glad to hear this shadow formulation is good, but I will be passing on this right now because I picked up some Odens Eye, Clionadh, and Trixie Cosmetics over Black Friday and need to simmer down on spending on myself for the year lol

I'm so glad you got to review this palette. I am interested in the palette, but I needed to know if it's the good melt quality b4 I spend that much money on a palette. I don't own any palettes from melt and this seems like a good color story to be my first palette from them.
I have this pallet and I love it! The two looks I have done so far were vibrant and colorful and got so many compliments on my looks. To me it was easy to blend and got lots of color payoff with just a small tap of product. Worth it if you are able to spend the money.

For anyone who likes the purple lipstick: it looks similar to Charlotte Tilbury's matte revolution in Hell's Belles or the Glastonbury/ Festival Magic shade that's a little deeper. A much creamier formula that has a better payoff from the jump.
