      If the music box pieces can play individually but not when connected, it might be an issue with alignment or the tightness of the connection. Here are a few things to check:
      Check the Alignment:Make sure the gears are perfectly aligned and turning smoothly. If they’re slightly misaligned, they might block each other from moving.
      Avoid Over-Tightening:If the pieces are too tightly connected, it can cause unnecessary friction, preventing the music box from playing. Try loosening the connection just a bit to see if that helps.Lubricate the Gears:Use a tiny bit of wax or a pencil (graphite) on the gear teeth to reduce friction.Inspect for Obstructions:Look for anything blocking the movement of the gears or components. Even a tiny misplaced piece can stop the mechanism from working.Reassemble Slowly:Disconnect the pieces and reconnect them carefully, step by step, making sure each part moves freely before attaching the next.
      If you’re still stuck, feel free to let me know, and I’ll try to help further! Don’t give up-you’re doing great! 🌟😊

    This video is so helpful!! I’m wondering if you have any advice at 20:05 for some reason my gear with F6 is lower than the gear with F7 and won’t connect! I’m trying to figure out why! I’ve taken it apart to see if something isn’t snapped in correctly but I still can’t figure it out!

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  Месяц назад +1

      Check the Axle Placement: Ensure that the axle holding the gear with F6 is fully inserted and level. Sometimes, a slight tilt can cause the gears to misalign.
      Verify the Spacer: Look for any spacer or washer pieces in the assembly steps around F6. Missing or mispositioned spacers can affect the gear height.
      Tighten Connections: Recheck the connections around F6 and F7 to make sure all parts are snapped in securely and evenly.
      Inspect for Obstructions: Look for any excess material, debris, or small imperfections in the gear slots that could prevent proper placement.
      Shim Adjustment: If everything looks correct but the height still seems off, consider using a thin piece of cardboard or similar material as a shim under F6 to raise it slightly.

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  28 дней назад

      Double-check the fit: Ensure all tabs and slots are aligned correctly, as even a small misalignment can cause stability issues.
      Tighten the joints: If the fit feels loose, consider gently sanding the tabs for a snug fit or lightly pressing the slots with pliers to secure the parts.
      Temporary hold: Instead of glue, try using small rubber bands or clamps to hold the pieces in place while you assemble the rest of the piano.

    Hi, I love this kit. This is my second one. I received the cello for Christmas and loved it so treated myself to the piano. I've reached the point where i fix F1 to the piano gear section and I'm having problems as the gears seems to be catching and not turning. I've disassembled it multiple times but with the same outcome. Can someone please advise as I really want to finish this.

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  Год назад

      Ensure that all the gears are properly aligned and meshing correctly. Even a slight misalignment can cause the gears to catch. Make sure that each gear tooth is properly engaged with the adjacent gear.Examine the gear teeth for any burrs, excess glue, or other obstructions. If you find any irregularities, use a small file or sandpaper to smooth out the edges. Be cautious not to remove too much material.Confirm that all parts are correctly oriented and installed according to the instructions. Sometimes, a simple mistake in part orientation can cause issues.Examine the entire assembly to ensure that no foreign objects or debris are interfering with the gears. Even a tiny piece of excess material can cause problems.Test each gear and component separately to identify if a specific part is causing the issue. This can help isolate the problem and guide your troubleshooting efforts.

    Hi! Nice baroque music and good video! Wanna ask like I forget to put a gadget shown at 19:22 and insert the shaft sleeve on it like 19:50. Is there any way to loosen the shaft sleeve and dismantle the gear?I mean the step is so crucial as it affects the keyboard

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  Год назад

      Certainly, if you've forgotten to include a crucial gadget at a specific step and need to insert the shaft sleeve, you may need to dismantle the gear mechanism to make the necessary adjustments. Here's how you can approach this situation:
      Identify the Gear and Gadget:
      Review the footage or instructions to identify the gear that needs adjustment and the gadget that should be inserted.
      Gently Dismantle the Gear Mechanism:
      Start by carefully disassembling the surrounding components of the gear you need to adjust.
      If there are screws, bolts, or other fasteners holding the gears together, carefully remove them. Keep track of the parts as you disassemble.
      Loosen the Shaft Sleeve:
      Once you've exposed the area where the shaft sleeve needs to be inserted, loosen any fasteners or mechanisms holding it in place.
      Be gentle during this process to avoid damaging the gears or other components.
      Insert the Gadget and Shaft Sleeve:
      Place the forgotten gadget in its designated location.
      Insert the shaft sleeve in the correct position. Ensure it aligns properly with the gears.

    Ive gotten to 28:34 but im not sure what to do... My cogs all connect, but the big brown one on the top isnt aligned with the new smaller ones... It is slightly off, enough to cause issues with the turning at times, presumably causing bigger issues down the line.
    The big brown cog is a bit rickety aswell, i noticed the difference earlier when i saw yours at the beginning of step 4 looking much better than mine, but i couldnt figure out how to fix it and now im confused if i should keep going or go backwards

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi there! Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like the big brown cog isn’t fully aligned with the smaller ones, and that could definitely cause some issues. Here’s what I recommend:
      Check Alignment: The large brown cog needs to be properly aligned with the smaller ones for smooth turning. If it’s slightly off, you may need to loosen it and carefully readjust its position. Ensure it's centered and aligned with the new smaller gears before tightening again.
      Inspect for Wobble: If the big brown cog is rickety, it may not be seated properly on the shaft. Double-check that it’s securely attached and that there’s no excess play or wobble. If needed, you can remove it and carefully reinstall it, making sure it sits flush and tight.
      Review Step 4: You mentioned the difference between yours and mine at Step 4-this step is crucial for the proper alignment of the gears. I’d suggest revisiting that part of the assembly and ensuring everything lines up as it should.
      Go Back if Needed: If things still don’t seem right, don’t hesitate to go back a few steps to see if anything was missed. Fixing these issues early on will prevent bigger problems later in the build.
      Take your time with it! I know it can be frustrating, but getting the gears to turn smoothly is key for the whole project. Feel free to let me know how it goes or if you need more help. You’ve got this!

    Ive never built a wooden puzzle before. Wluld you recommend this for a beginner?

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  Год назад +1

      For a beginner, I recommend starting with a basic wooden puzzle that has a straightforward design and clear instructions. Look for puzzles that involve fewer pieces and have a simpler assembly process. This will help you get accustomed to working with wood and understanding how pieces fit together.Consider starting with a 3D wooden puzzle that forms a recognizable shape, such as an animal or geometric figure. These puzzles often have interlocking pieces that are relatively easy to assemble and provide a sense of accomplishment when completed. Additionally, make sure to gather the necessary tools and materials, such as sandpaper, wood glue, and clamps, to help you with the construction process. As you gain confidence and skills, you can gradually move on to more complex wooden puzzles.Remember to follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear, such as safety glasses, while working with wood and tools. Enjoy the process of learning and creating your wooden puzzle! For me, the most important thing is "Patience"! So take your time and enjoy!

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  Месяц назад +1

      Great question! For Step 2 when waxing G1, you should focus on applying wax specifically to the areas where the parts will have friction during movement. This usually means between the little knobs and any surfaces that come into contact with other pieces. Waxing these areas ensures smooth operation. I apologize if this step was skipped in the video.

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  8 месяцев назад

      Hola! Gracias por tu comentario y por seguir los pasos del vídeo. Me alegra saber que todo funcionó bien al principio. Es posible que la cera blanca se haya secado o que haya acumulación de polvo que esté impidiendo el movimiento suave de los engranajes.
      Para mantener los engranajes funcionando sin problemas, te recomiendo los siguientes productos:
      Lubricante de silicona: Este tipo de lubricante es ideal para piezas plásticas y de madera, ya que no se seca y proporciona una capa duradera de lubricación.
      Grasa de litio: Es otro excelente lubricante para engranajes, ya que es resistente y no se seca rápidamente. Asegúrate de aplicar una pequeña cantidad para evitar acumulación de residuos.
      Polvo de grafito: Este es un lubricante seco que funciona muy bien para mecanismos delicados. No atrae polvo y proporciona una lubricación duradera.
      Asegúrate de limpiar los engranajes antes de aplicar cualquier nuevo lubricante para evitar la mezcla de productos. Espero que estas sugerencias te ayuden a resolver el problema. Si tienes alguna otra pregunta o necesitas más ayuda, no dudes en preguntar.
      Gracias de nuevo por tu apoyo y feliz construcción!

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  День назад

      ¡Hola! 😊 No te preocupes, vamos a intentar solucionarlo juntos. Si la maquinita de la caja de música no funciona, aquí tienes algunos pasos para revisar:
      1. Verifica el mecanismo:
      Gira la manivela suavemente: Asegúrate de que el mecanismo principal no esté atascado.
      Busca obstrucciones: Comprueba si alguna pieza está bloqueando los engranajes o el cilindro de la música.
      2. Alineación de las piezas:
      Si acabas de montarlo, verifica que todas las piezas están correctamente alineadas. A veces, un engranaje desajustado puede impedir que funcione.
      3. Lubrica el mecanismo:
      Aplica una pequeña cantidad de grafito (puedes usar un lápiz) en los engranajes para que se muevan más fácilmente.
      4. Ajusta la tensión:
      Si las piezas están demasiado apretadas o forzadas, afloja ligeramente las conexiones para reducir la fricción.
      5. Prueba sin ensamblar:
      Retira el mecanismo de la caja para probarlo de forma individual. Si funciona fuera de la caja, entonces puede que el problema esté en cómo se conectó al resto del diseño.
      Si después de esto sigue sin funcionar, avísame y podemos buscar más soluciones. ¡No te rindas, seguro que lo solucionas! 💪🎶

      It’s just when I have to put that board on top of wear the gear is it makes it tighter. Which makes I not work properly so I don’t know how else to fix it I even put wax on the turning parts that rubs against the wood it still tight. But thanks for the tips 😁

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  9 месяцев назад +1

      Sand or Trim: Check if there are any areas where the turning parts are rubbing against the wood excessively. You can use sandpaper to gently sand down these areas or a small saw or file to trim any protruding parts slightly. Be careful not to remove too much material, as this could affect the functionality of the music box.Lubrication: In addition to wax, consider using a silicone-based lubricant or graphite powder on the turning parts and the areas where they come into contact with the wood. These lubricants can help reduce friction and make the movement smoother.Adjustment: Look for any screws or bolts that can be adjusted to fine-tune the tension of the turning parts. Loosening or tightening these screws slightly may help alleviate the tightness and ensure proper movement.Padding: If the board is causing the turning parts to become tighter, try adding a thin layer of padding between the board and the mechanism. This could be a piece of felt or foam to cushion the contact points and reduce friction.Check Alignment: Make sure that all the parts of the music box are properly aligned and assembled according to the instructions. Misalignment can cause parts to rub against each other, leading to tightness and difficulty in operation.By implementing these suggestions, you should be able to improve the functionality of your magic piano music box and enjoy smooth operation without any tightness or sticking. Good luck!

If you're unable to find it, double-check the packaging and the instruction booklet to ensure you didn't miss it. Sometimes pieces can be grouped closely together, making them a bit harder to spot.

    Wonderfully detailed video. Using it to put together this exact Rokr Magic Music Box puzzle, my first 3D puzzle. I'm using this video instead of reading the instructions, as it is so detailed to even show the part numbers. Very well done and excellent video practices; sharp and concise.
    There is an assembly part in your video that was missing (as I was assembling as I watched then would pause and or rewind}. At about the 27 minute mark of the video, the assembly of the legs and the under part of the piano assembly was missing and was a bit confusing to try to figure out, exactly what the parts were and how to assemble them.

      So glad that you like the video. You are legend! There was a tiny mistake at the 27 minute mark of the video I made, I put the B5 part upside down! And I correct it later. That is why the legs part is missing.I apologize for the confusion and inconvenience you've experienced with building the Piano.

    I’m doing this right now but have run into a problem. I’ve got all of the gears engaging but when I put on F1 they don’t. And suggestions? I’d really appreciate any help you can give me.

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  8 месяцев назад

      When you install part F1 and notice that the gears stop working properly, it could be an issue related to alignment or excessive friction. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:Check Alignment: Make sure that F1 is aligned correctly as per the instructions. Even a small misalignment can cause the gears to bind. Ensure that all parts fit snugly and correctly without forcing them into place.Examine for Obstructions: Double-check that no debris or residual material is causing the gears to stick. Sometimes, small particles can get lodged in the gear teeth, causing them to jam.Loosen Connections: Sometimes, tightening screws or connections too much can put extra pressure on the gears. Try loosening any nearby connections slightly to see if that allows the gears to move more freely.Revisit Previous Steps: Occasionally, the issue might not be with F1 itself but with how previous parts were assembled. Briefly backtrack through your steps to ensure everything prior to F1 was assembled correctly and functioning as expected before F1 was added.I hope these suggestions help you get back on track with your ROKR Magic Piano kit! Let me know how it goes, or if there’s anything else you might need.

      Ensure that there are no foreign objects, debris, or obstructions blocking the movement of the keys. Sometimes, small items can get lodged between the keys, preventing them from moving freely.Examine the mechanism under the keys. Look for any broken or disconnected parts.Check if any of the keys are warped or bent. Warped keys can interfere with the smooth movement of adjacent keys. If you find any warped keys, you may need to replace them.Ensure that all parts of the piano are assembled correctly. Check the assembly instructions and make sure that every component is in its proper place. Check the manual and the most important thing is patience.

    Is there a way to replace the motor with an electrical one so I'll be able to connect it to USB cable or something similar?

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  9 месяцев назад

      You will need a small electric motor that can fit within the existing structure without requiring extensive modifications. A common choice might be a small DC motor.
      Since you mentioned wanting to connect it to a USB cable, you’ll need a USB power supply that matches the motor's voltage requirements. Most USB outputs are 5V, which should generally be suitable for small DC motors used in hobby projects.Secure the motor in place where the manual crank used to be. You might need to create custom mounts using materials like plastic or lightweight metal. 3D printing could be very useful here if you have access to a 3D printer.You may need to adapt or replace the gearing to connect the motor's output shaft to the piano's mechanism. This might involve using gears or belts.Depending on the motor's speed, you may need to add a gear reduction between the motor and the mechanism or use electronic speed control to ensure the piano plays at a realistic speed.Connect the motor to the USB power source through appropriate wiring. Ensure you have a switch to turn the motor on and off.Depending on your motor and power source, you might need a basic circuit to control the power and protect the motor. Components like a resistor or a basic motor driver circuit can be necessary.

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  10 месяцев назад

      It sounds like you're experiencing some technical difficulties with your ROKR magic piano music box kit. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to fix the issue:
      Check for Misalignment: Make sure that the keys of the keyboard are properly aligned with the mechanism of the main part of the piano. Even a slight misalignment can cause the keys to get stuck when attached.
      Ensure Proper Assembly: Double-check that each component of the keyboard is assembled correctly according to the instructions provided with the kit. Pay close attention to any interlocking parts or connections that may be causing friction.

      Ensure that each gear is placed in its designated location according to the instructions. Confirm that the gears are correctly aligned and seated in their respective slots.Double-check the placement of washers. Make sure that the washers are positioned between the gears and the wooden surfaces to allow smooth rotation without friction.If you suspect an error in the assembly, consider disassembling the affected area and carefully reassembling it, paying close attention to the alignment of gears and the placement of washers. Following the assembly instructions step by step can help prevent misalignment.Look for any debris or wood splinters that might be obstructing the movement of gears. Clear any obstructions and ensure a clean and smooth interaction between gears.Inspect the teeth of the gears to ensure they are not damaged or misshapen. If you notice any irregularities, it might be necessary to replace the affected gear. Remember that don't be upset. Rebuild means double happiness!

      Check if the teeth of the gears are properly aligned. Misalignment can cause gears to jam.Make sure the gears are properly seated on their axles or shafts.Inspect the gears for any debris or foreign objects that might be causing interference.Ensure that there is no excess glue or material.preventing smooth rotation.Confirm that the axles or shafts holding the gears are straight and properly aligned.
      Check if any part of the mechanism is bent or misaligned.Apply a small amount of wax to the contact points of the gears.Ensure there is not too much friction between the gears, which could impede movement.Verify that the gears are not too tight against each other. There should be a little bit of play to allow for smooth rotation.
