I think the house is beautiful and quirky. Greg & Emma will surely be happy there. But her parents? The ground floor is so dark! And no outdoor space at all. I’m sorry but I wouldn’t want to move in.
Built in furniture, where you cannot rearrange furniture to suite changing seasons or needs, would feel constraining to me. But the overall design and aesthetic is cohesive and more spacious than I would have predicted given the lot size.
I would NEVER pay someone $500,000.00 to live in their parent space while children enjoying 70% open space, especially having a staircase a place in the middle of the parents house! Crazy… definitely not for me!
The grandparents got the short end of this deal. Half of a million dollars for a flat with the kids getting the best of the house for $160,000 and 2 floors with a pool seems so wrong.
Very creative and interesting house, however I feel bad for the parents, I think they did not get their money’s worth. And for him to dictate furniture for their unit!?!? Really? I normally love multi generational living as a concept but this does not feel like a fair situation.
This home builder is hard to find. His work involves heart, artistic mind, strength, patience and skills... God bless his family/
At the cost of the grandparents $500,000.000 vs his Indulgence at $125,000.00
Yet another episode to indulge in. 👍👍💯
What a nice couple and what a beautiful home they have created.
Really nice..I hope inspired from this to building my house
Great house in two parts
Fantastic home wow, i glad their marriage was still in tact after.
It’s nice that the in-laws are funding the son-in law indulgence! The division of the finances based on the square footage ….🥴🥴🥴
That is a fantastic house,bravo
It would be for the daughter and her family only!

I hope the grandparents made their floor their own in the end..

Why are Emma's parents contributing over 500 grand and Greg and Emma are only contributing 100 grand and labour
Besides Emma and Greg contributing the build site, 120k and labour, construction would've been +1mil had another builder done all work.
Because they love their children and want to help?🤔
What a pity the grandparents can't use their own furniture, it's their home and their own money.

LOL you could splash water from the pool on the sidewalk below.

It makes me anxious to watch people not wearing masks when sifting powder that contains silica.
Why does no one mention how sarcastic and snobby the presenter is.. loved the part where Greg asked if he's not male..

Hideous
definitely not a 'grand design' - more 'meh' than anything.
